I love the short arms! I replaced my 6" arms with the 4" and I can ride in a more relaxed foot position. If you feel like the 6" arms are cramping your legs, you'll like the 4" arms. No chrome problems with these. The 6" arms I removed still look like new with no chrome issues. My friend's 2004 has had his ergo II's since new and the chrome hasn't started to deteriate there yet either. Still looks good as new.
This is one of the nicest Accessories I own for my Wing. It has been threw 2 hail storms and and still looks as good as new. I don't go anywhere without it!
One size fits all? The neck opening is way too small for me to wear. It's just barely large enough for my 100 lb wife to put on.
Purchased this handle recently. Found I didn't wish too install it myself. Had dealer install handle, looks great. Very pleased with the purchase.
Holy Cow! Couldn't agree more about the handling. But the I'm beginning to get the 30 mph shimmy back an I'm noticing a little cupping on the front. Just checked the odometer - 20307 miles on this set and just hitting the wear bars on the front. Rear is growling at me so I guess its time for another set of Bridgestones!

10-STARS!!! This is THE single most important item to put on your GL1800 as soon as you get it. PERIOD! Even the DEALER recommended it. Comes with a paper template that you scotch tape on the top of the trunk lips and drill 4 - 1/4 inch holes. Easy to install, works like a charm. Remember when closing your trunk lid you face the rear of the trunk and reach over the top of the lid to the passenger backrest cushion and place your left and right hands cupping the top of the cushion and apply a firm snap motion to close the lid. It's going to be very tight the first few times but it will ease up after a few hot days. The time to put these on is as soon as you get the bike. The trunk paint rubbing starts immediately without these. I am so glad that wingstuff finally is carrying these! A+++ For total paint protection, I also recommend some of the small 3/8 inch diameter felt disks you can buy at walmart or lowes and place one disk next to each of the 6 protruding tabs on each side of the trunk top edge plus two disks on the rear area next to the tabs there. Also, the area right on each corner up by the trunk lights highest points can just barely rub there as well. I placed some velcro (soft side out) there and I've had zero paint rubbing. |
This should be put on the goldwing before ride it. If you dont have them on your trunk the lid of the trunk will cut into the bottom. A must have. It wil take about 30 min to put them on.
Very nice. Easy to install. Instructions are easy to follow. I recommend buying additional double-sided tape for the area near the rubber. Great addition to the trike. You won't be disappointed.
After reading the reviews, I decided to spend the extra money and get the chrome. I also added the amber/blue/green ring of fire. The install was a piece of cake and the effect is awesome. Money well spent.
I installed both the trunk and saddlebag mouldings and they do look great. However, I had the same problem that Andy had. One screw wouldn't tighten up. I'm happy to see that Kuryakyn took care of Andy's problem. Hopefully, they will replace mine in the same manner. Also, after I finished the install, I noticed that one light had pushed back into the molding. Since it was on the trunk, I just took the piece off and pushed it back out. I plan on taking the trunk moldings off and putting more silicone on the back of each light to hopefully fix the problem. I don't know if I can redo the saddlebag moldings because the corners of each piece are glued. So as usual, Kuryakyn has great products but lousy quality control. If they ever figure out how to build their designs without flaws and how to write instructions they will be an awesome company.
I already owned a Chatterbox xbi2 intercom/headset which operates wirelessly using bluetooth technology. By using a bluetooth transmitter (dongle), and this adaptor plugged into the Goldwing 5 pin plug, I am able to receive all audio signals wirelessly into my helmet speakers from the Goldwing sound system, including navigation instructions. This inexpensive adaptor, designed by a genius, allowed me to keep the xbi2 system instead of having to replace it with a wired headset. Go wireless!
These thing realy work. Smooth as glass even at 100 mph. Only took about an hour to put on all 3. Paint looked bad so I painted them silver and you don't hardley notice them. How ever I still have my 40 mph deacceleration wobble. The tire had already started cupping at 3000 miles. I wish had these on when the tire was new. I'm very satisfide with them and think there every penny!
