My first one was the unveted one. I agree that the heat is throrwn up to your feet more. It wasn't unbearable but noticable. Being in New England, it was kind of nice in the late fall/winter. This one is great. Same increase in stability in cross winds and when passing 18 wheelers plus the over heating feet thing went away with this one. Make sure you take off the white covering. Not much skill needed to install. Simply remove the bolts from two holes pictured on the side. Pull the sides out one at a time. There are adjusters on the sides on the pan to allow for adjustment.
Just installed and it sure cleaned up my ball of wires under the seat. Very easy to install and works like a champ. Should have put one of these babies on when I first purchased the bike.
Just installed these and they sure make the trunk lid close tightly. Installation was very simple and straight forward. I used a step drill to cut the holes so no sharp or rough edges. Make sure you read the instructions and I must agree with the manufacture spit (saliva) does work best for the install. Honda should have something like this as an OEM from the factory - but I guess they cot corners to increase their profit margin.
I installed it the same time I installed the spoiler. Works and looks ok.
I have an 09 and they do not fit!!!
Took about 3 hours to install with the help of a friend. A bit expensive I would say. Thanks Honda!!
I got these just before Christmas. They were easy to install. I cut the edges of the template and matched the line on the top to the front edge of the trunk. I drilled the holes nice and slow and it minimized the sharp edges. It makes the trunk lid sit correctly, but it will take some pressing down on the lid to get it shut and open for a while until the bumpers compress a little. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to pull on the bottom of the bumper and yes spit and a small round metal rod to help push the top through the hole. Took about 30 min to install from drilling to done.

The instructions and video were spot on... The only trouble I had was lining up the holes for the "T" bar and the bar inside the seat.. Putting the seat back on was a cinch... Good enough for Gov't work, but the seat ended up looking great on the bike... |
This is a must for your wing especially if you are cruising with others and also makes your bike look complete. If you are adventurus like me you can install it yourself, it took me about 3 hours to install and I am novice at best. TAKE YOUR TIME! Make sure that you use all (3) filters, you have to do some searching to locate the front 2 but they are there. Great product and as always great service.
Excellent product. Installation was straight forward. A little hesitant drilling the holes but they are marked on the inside of your trunk, took about 20 minutes to install.
Nice and compact and was able to store in the CB compartment area. Have not had to use yet but if wingstuff sells it I have trust. Excellent staff and service.
Needed thid when I bought the wing. This is one of those things that honda should have installed as standard.
