I used golf grip solvent to put them on - went on perfectly and with little effort. I'll be interested to see how they hold up in the hot sunshine over the summer months. I like how they feel, and they allow the heat from my factory heated grips to come through very nicely. The jury is still out on the final answer, but like one guy said - "It's worth the $10 to try them for a season..." I can always take them off and go back to the old "system". |

Great functionality - looks really nice, and with the Honda Embossed Emblem it looks like it came from the factory. I love having another place to store small items so it made my day when my wife bought it for me. |

I have to rate this product twice...Overall - it's a 5 on the looks and functionality of the product. Adds great looks by giving trunk a more finished look, stability in opening, and of course one more light to flash when braking. Overall, it was worth the cost, and the gigantic HEADACHE of putting it on the bike. Now to the other grade - INSTALLATION - is definitely a 1 - an absolute BEAST to install for me. Mainly because the quick connectors from Kuryakyn didn't maintain contact so when the lid slammed shut, the wires would vibrate apart and no lights...I took it all apart three times, and finally I just cut all the quick connect stuff apart and hard-wired it. Works now, but sure had me talking to myself and using a bunch of made up words while putting it together. Both shorter and longer screws came with mine, and i ended up using the short ones - the long ones were too long and the handle ended up sticking out from the trunk by an eighth of an inch or more, so I went with the shorter ones and they worked great. |

| Have had these two months now. Have mixed feelings about them. They are a little too long. This has caused them to deform some or lean like the leaning tower of pizza. They do the intended job, just don't look so good. Installation was not that hard. used a jewelers screw driver to knead the bumper in the hole. Like drilling any holes in your plastic, be sure to start off with a smaller drill bit so your drill doesn't walk. |
| Nice machined pad. Looks really good on the bike and does not look cheezy. Will definately prevent the bike from sinking. Had to give four stars due to installation. Same problem as everyone else. It's too tight. Had to pound it on with a plastic hammer. No need for the set screw, this puppy is not going anywhere. I left it back slightly (1/4") so the back end does not hit the bike. Would recommend this. |

I looked at several different brands before deciding on Kuryakyn. The quality and appearance of these boards is absolutely show quality. Floorboards and the heel-toe shifter take some getting used to, but once I got comfortable with the change, I fell in love with these. Well worth the cost and installed in 20 minutes. |
| This is one of my best investments yet. I put it on at the same time I installed a set of bar risers. I immediately took off on a 450 mile trip, and now know what it feels like to ride the world's most comfortable bike. Highly recommended product; easy to install and adjust, and as usual, the Kuryakyn quality is top-notch. |
| Battery fits perfectly in my 86 "Oldwing". Starts better than ever. My only complaint is I ordered the part on a Tuesday and was not shipped till Friday. |
| Installed on my 2008. Was not a fun job. Based on my experience, as well as most of the other reviews, beleive some of the hole locations are off a little causing most of the difficulty. Be prepared to pry & bend to make the holes line up. Also made the rear cover hard to install. In the end, this is a nice robust hitch for the price. Nothing else comes close for the cost. The instructions lack adequate detail unless you have installed a hitch before, so wouldn't recommend tackling this without the directions from wingstuff. Once installed I'm happy with it. This get four stars for the hole locations and poor directions. |
| I have a new GL1800 w/CSC 2008 and put about 400 miles on it and noticed that I had picked up a few rocks that chipped the paint (very small) touch up fixed it. I purchased this extender and haven't noticed any other nicks in 3k. As another user reported it still doesn't protect from road grime being thrown up on the cowl. They do look great and went on easy and didn't remove the fender. |
| I put another 200 or so miles on the wheel balancers. Yes - definately a difference and a smooth ride. As per my earlier review, you can hear the beads sloshing around a bit at slower speeds ( |
