Just finished installing the luggage rack on my GW. Looks great. I also purchased the star washers but choose not to use them, at least not now. This is the perfect size to strap a bag or sleeping bag on. Will post picture of it on my GW later.
I put these on with a new set of tires before heading out west on a 7500 mile journey. Got back home and only used almost 3/32. These work really great! You will get better tire wear. Their always making you tires balanced, even if you have something stuck to your wheel.
4 stars so far. They have been on for 7,500 miles and I really like them. I'm checking my pressure regularly to ensure maximum life. No real signs of adverse wear to date.
Ooohhh Man... I'm loving it. My wife has no problem mounting or dismouting and just the little adjustment you can do to this seat makes it VERY comfortable. MUST HAVE!
I too prefer this headset over the J&M. Install was a sinch (modular/Scorpion Transformer) and the sound is AWESOME. Only been using for a couple of days now. IMC does have a newer model, kinda wish I could have found it here.
Just got back from 4700 miles out west and this bag was great. Holds all the rain gear and more. My wife could reach the front pockets from her seat. rain cover works perfect. Very easy access and nice handle for carrying.
I'm no mechanic and install was easy. I spent an hour, most of it making sure I had everything marked right and taking out the inner liner. Rack holds more than the 5# limit...just use good sense. Worked great on 18 day, 4700 mile trip this summer to Utah.
The bag has a lot of room however, does not sit well on the hondaline or Kuryakyn tour pak rack.
This is my second review after adding TorqMaster Torq Loopz along with these pipes. Man does this combination sound great.
Nice addition with the Kury rack. Looks nice and you can use the rises as a guide when drilling the holes.
Install was fairly easy. Took longer to remove the inners of the trunk lid than it did to install this. Just take your time when drilling the holes as you only do get one shot at it. I also installed this with the kury rack risers and was going to add the star washers. Don't get the star washers, you won't see them under the kury rack risers. I guess you could get them if you didn't get the rack risers. Chrome looks good and provided a nice place to attach my bag for a 3000 mile trip.
Installed these in about an hour then went on a week long trip. Install was easy enough, chrome really doesn't matter as you won't see them once installed but they do move the bars back a little which is nice. I still experienced some pain between the shoulder blades on some days although they were the days I spent more than 800 miles on the bike so it may not be a riser issue and more of a long distance issue. Overall- a good product with an easy install and it was a third the cost of the kury risers, although you can adjust the kury risers if needed.
