Easy install, I would highly recommend this belly pan.
So just bought some of this paint protection. After reading the reviews I was concerned that it wouldn't dry clear. The description is right on the money, it dried clear. Was very easy to use! You do see some tiny bumps from the roller up close, but from a few feet away, clear as a bell. GOOD PRODUCT!
Would have liked the adhesive tape to have gone the entire width of the plasti-chrome instead of just the first few inches. Just enough bling to dress up the trunk.
Oh, and by the way ... the Show Chrome armrests don't have to swing out to open the trunk like with these.
I had a set of Show Chrome passenger armrests on my 2006 Goldwing ... liked them very much. Decided to buy these for my 2010 Goldwing ... because they are "Kuryakyn" and because I have a lot of Kuryakyn stuff on my Wing. When they got here, the wife looked at them and said "Nope" looks like a TV tray! That alone was enough for me to send them back but, another reason was the fact I didn't care for the mounting method ... drilling holes in the rear pockes compartments wasn't happening. I really don't see how these armrests can be very strong at all they way they mount ... even with all the hardware that has to be installed. I went back to the Show Chrome ... very easy to install, they install to the passenger grab handles and are very strong. Sent the Kuryakyn armrests back.

Had this hitch on my 2006 Goldwing (I didn't install this one), just installed one on my 2010 Goldwing myself ... it was not as easy as some say. The holes in the H bracket didn't line up ... they were just a bit off. After using a small pry bar to wedge in between the saddlebag frame and the H bracket, I was able to line up the holes and get the bolts started. This is very solid hitch and will give you many years of good use. I pulled an Escapade Elite trailer many thousands of miles with no problems. Very good hitch! I especially like the lock bolt to keep the ball mount from rattling. |

I just installed these on Saturday, 4/23/2011. I discovered that since the center hubs are made of "alloy", they are thicker than the steel hubs of the original. This makes the bolts too short. The bolts end 1/2 way into the nuts; not just through the nuts. It would be nice to have a recommended part number or source to get bolts to replace the factory bolts which are not long enough. I torqued them and used loctite, but not something I want to rely on. So far, they are working well, and no more squealing and glazed spots. |
So much nicer than the ugly plastic. Near perfect fit, but will fit into position over time.
I got the one for the trunk and it was a snap to install. Just measure twice before you drill a hole...... I now need a 1.125" rubber plug to fill a hole
I have this luggage rack and love it. Makes the trunk lid looks so good.
FINE ADDITION; ALMOST MAKES ME WANT TO KEEP MY FLOORBOARDS DOWN. OF COURSE I PUT ON THE CHROME FRAME COVER ALSO.
