This is a great organizer. I bought this with the COMBO - saddlebag organizers. Only problem I noticed when in use is that if it is fully stocked and you have a full face, you have to remove from the lid organizer to get your helmet to fit. Because I now purchased a dome light, mirror, and 12-volt accessory plug from Wingstuff, I am not using the trunk organizer. If you are interested in it, send me a message. Recommend getting the entire COMBO set though. It's cheap enough and certainly cheaper than the other brands, but a sound product.
These are now installed. They complete the 'Hat Trick' combined with the Super Brace and All Balls. Huge difference!!! It's like riding a different bike! A must have for all Wing owners!!

I just ordered and recieved 2 sets of these. One for my friends '03 and the other for my '08. We install them on the '03 first and my buddy went for a test ride. He came back and was very impressed to say the least. Saying that he didn't realize he needed them until now. No more wobble. We then tackled my '08. It was a little more work due to the nav. The shelter had to come off but not a big deal. Put in the Progessive springs at the same time. WOW what a difference!!! Should have done this upgrade long ago. It takes a while to complete the job but is very worthwhile. Take your time. |
One word - "WOW!" Easy to install, and look great. Buy 'em - you'll love 'em!
I found these very easy to install, although, as some other reviews have said, you need SAE tools (on a metric bike?). Also going to the Kuryakyn website helped, finding instructions there that were cleared than those included with the product. When I opened the box though, I noticed that one of the foot rests have "spider-like" greyish lines all over the chrome. The beginnings of peeling? I hope not. Also, I wish the description on the website would include more detail, such as fitment for the rider. I'm 6' tall, and I likely would have opted for the model with shorter arms than these have (to fit taller riders). {Note: more of a criticism of the website than the product itself. Or perhaps my lack of thorough research on the product.) I haven't had these on the bike long enough to vouch for their longevity... that will have to wait for a later review (after this riding season perhaps).
This is a very handy item for those things you want to find easily. The truck no longer accepts my helmet; however, from other feedback I had already known that was going to happen. There are times when you must reach under the trunk lid when closing it because stuff shifts around and interferes with the lid's closing fully. I think it is a worthwhile accessory.
Installed on 2010 GW with 3K miles. Easy installation and solved (for the most part) the wobble during slow turns. Also help stabilize the front end when entering the driveway. I very much recommend the Kuryakyn Gen 2 brace, especially for the VIP price.
Great resource. Seems very comprehensive.

Good price and easy install. They now come with a spacer that can be installed one direction for swivel or turned around for rigid mount. Grommet seems to adequately secure the mounting screw in the keyhole. I only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the holder itself seems a little light and I'm concerned about the durability where the mounting screw is in the keyhole. |
3 of my riding buddies with 3 GL1800's all fitted with this back rest now which should say something! great product for your machine, easy install, hint - watch the youtube video before installing just for extra support, look up (fitting utopia back rest to Goldwing) great product, good price.
Yes, very easy install and great looking product! more farkles for the side profile, good price & service, thks WingStuff
Gotta have some spares! will need some eventually and will have them on hand for me and/or riding buddies, easy product to purchase & keep.
