Shifting is much smoother with this over regular oil. Very satisfied with performance. I may go full synthetic next time to see if can get even better. Will definately stick with the Honda brand either way.
Price is right, it really sets off the front of the bike. Looks awesome while protecting the paint.
Compact and seems to be of good quality. Will be easy to carry and give me some peace of mind. Hope I never have to use them, maybe just having them will ward off evil spirits.
the knobs look good not that hard to put on it took me about 20 min. to remove the old ones and put the new ones on. You have to remove the little copper shims on the old knobs the put them in the new ones they are real tight on the new knobs but they will work and they look better than the old ones.

The other day I pulled out on the road and my left speaker cover blew off, hit me in the leg and onto the road. I turned around and couldn't find it. So, it was time to order a new one. This one came in today and I ran out to the bike to see if it fit and how it looked. The fit was perfect and the look is just like new. A great buy to replace the lost cover. Now time to start installing my J&M Blue tooth system. I will report on it when I am done. |
Super easy install. I was working on the bike today under the top shelter and added this at the same time. Only took a couple minutes to get it installed. Instructions called for a 7/8" hole, I used a 1" drill bit and it worked, although I would suggest you use the 7/8" size if you have it. The 1" hole was a tad larger than I thought it would be for this. Instructions say to change your acc fuse to a 10A to handle the load, but I only plan to use this to charge my cell phone. So far, I've got this and my ring of fire tapped into the acc connection with no ill effects on the 5A fuse.
Just installed ONE of the lights when I realized that the light severely restricts the ability to adjust your mirrors. If you want the mirror to cover your blind spot, DON'T expect to do it with the lights attached. Although they do fit, they also limit the range of motion in the mirror thus restricting your rear mirror viewing range. They also don't mention that, unless you buy a separate wiring harness, you have to cut the connector tips off and solder the wires directly to the original bike wiring. Be sure you read the instuctions before you begin. I just cut mine out. Useless if you want to cover your blind spot.
Switched over to synthetic @ 15000 miles on my 2008 GL1800. Deffinately a smoother shift, less klunk and smooth ride.
Used these for a couple months now. Works Great, sturdy, easy install. Well worth the $
My one star rating is for the product serviceability for my needs. I have a Gold wing GL1800 Airbag model. As soon as I installed the Kuryakyn Clutch/Brake Drink Holder I saw a major problem. The holder blocks the deployment of the airbag. So for all who paid an extra grand for the airbag and it's possible benefit I would suggest keep looking for a drink holder. As far as this product, it appears to be well constructed and useful to most. It is certainly heqavy, large and could probably hold a quart bottle. If the hardware had an adapter to turn the holder over the handlebars instead of pointing straight out it would probably work on the airbag model.
This was a very easy installation. I had the all chrome extension on my last wing and opted for this one because of the flexible flap which is less likely to damage the fender on rough roads. I'm sure it will stop all the crap from ending up on the lower front of the bike. It looks great too!
Wait...What! Addendum to my previous review. The initial date that I sent requested support via their website should have read 06/13/11 not 06/31/11. So, it's been 4 business days and no contact from SENA (not -18 days). I guess I was just so po'd I wasn't paying attention to what I was typing.
