I have order 4 of these type of valve stems to replace the old stock ones on my GL1500 Goldwing and also to relace the stupited straight rubber valve stems on my Honda ST1100 as I have to use a L-bend valve stem extender just to put air in its front and rear tyre..
The spoiler was easy to install - I used directions from various Goldwing forums. I've always wanted this on my other wings! It came fairly quickly even though Wingstuff didn't have it in stock. I used the template just to be sure, but there are actually very little marks on the inside trunk lid that mark where the holes go (3 on the left & only 2 on the right). Use sharp drill bits, search for specific directions, take your time & know what you are going to do before you do it. I installed a Kisan Tailblazer also (also an easy install - almost literally plug-and-play).
I have been a fan of the bullet type tyre repaire plug kit for years right up to the point of that was the only one I would ever use on my bikes. But that has all changed as back in May of this year when I had one let go on my return from the Thunderbolt Rally here in Australia. We where coming home along the F3 Freeway heading back to Sydney when the plug let go which cause my partner & myself a very bad scare as trying to bring a 400+kilo bike & just over 200kils of camping gear in my bike trailer to a stop with a flat rear tyre..So after seeing this product here in Australia when I was visiting a local Motorcyle Accessories store where another bike rider was after some Co2 cylinders for his kit he showed me how easy it works I knew right there an then this is the kit to have...
Well I have order these to help me with my 2" higher than standard windscreen on my GL1500 Goldwing as they may work in helping me see where I am going when it is covered from the spray off other cars in front of me when I doing city speeds of 50-70 kms/h as well as help me when I am riding my sports tourer to & from work when I am wearing my full face helmet in the rain...
I have just order a set of these rear air shocks to replace my now very tired 240,000+kms stock shocks on my 16 year old GL1500 Goldwing. After reading a the all the reviews by the members here it seem to me this was the way to go as I am not a light person by any standards nor is my other half so I hope these shocks will help to improve our ride so much more in the coming years as we also love touring with my bike trailer full of camping gear....

Fantastic idea, and as we aussies love our CB's to communicate with each other it would be nice, I brought my GL1800 Luxury and it has the control box on the left handle bar but nothing else. My question is how do I get a radio that is a UHF to fit my wing. I believe your sets over in the states is a am set?. Any assistance would be great. |
I along with 3 other buddies of mine here in Australia have put these on our bikes, Goldwing 1800 Luxury, the difference we found was nothing short of amazing, so much more smoother, straighter road ride, brilliant, tire wear is so much better so far, I will wait to see how long my tires last to tell the outcome. But good purchase.
with installing this filter and the KIng Snake slip- on mufflers my mpg has increased by 3.5 and the bike responds faster. I have a 2008 Goldwing
Easy to mount. Looks and functions great!
Installed these the first day I got my 08 wing. Seem sturdy enough and its nice to be able to adjust my leg position on long trips. They are comfortable. I only gave them three stars because of poor chrome. They started to pit soon after I installed them and now the chrome is a complete mess. A friend of mine has a set on his 07 wing and they look as bad as mine.....but I wouldn't be without them.
Over priced for old technology is my ONLY reason for submitting a four star rather than a five star rating. WingStuff did however offer the largest discount/markdown on this product that I was able to locate online. The installation went well and the CB has has been flawless in it's performance thus far. Not a "must have" however, certainly a nice to have item.
this is a high qualty windsheild that fit great, but with the sheild all the way up itshook alot. I adjusted the hold downs and now have a great windsheild that is very clear and no distorions.the extra height on those cold mornings is also a large plus.
