5 Stars for Quality 5 Stars for comfort (for for me) 3 Stars for Flexibility/Adjustability 2 Stars for instructions I had the Switchblade version of these on my '04 and put the Ergo IIs on my '12. They are very well made, but if you don't happen to get a setting that suites you well you're in trouble. I happen to work well at one setting so I am happy with them, but their adjustment is too limited. The Ergos have a limited number of "slots" that you can select to determine the angle of the arm (I didn't count them but I estimate there are 6 usable positions). Because of how they are attached to the roll bar, there is only about 1" of movement from front to back. The one thing you are able to adjust on a continuim of settings is the height of the peg. This is adjustable with a set of set screws that push down on the motor to adjust the pegs up. This provides about 1 1/2 inches of play. This is the only "fine tuning" they have. With this set up there is only on notch that I can use, and I can fine adjust them so they are very comfortable for me. If I wanted to raise the peg, say another inch up and 1 inch forward I am SOL. Can't do it. Recommend? Yes, and if they can be adjusted to hit your height and comfort zone you have a winner! |
| Nice fit look and work great |
| ck other web sites about this product...all not so glamorous |
| I bought these with high hopes but was very disappointed when they arrived. They are cheap plastic constriction and attach with 2 screws that are tighened to the bottom of the mirror housing. I was worried about acratching the paint. I put one on the left side and after seeing how bad it looked, and how poorly they worked, I removed it. I ad a small stick on mirror on an earlier model and it worked great and looked much better. Think I will go back to that. For a couple bucks, it is a much better solution. |

I had this (with the red lense) on my '04, without the brake light modulator. I just put in on my '12, with the brakelight modulator. This and the spoiler lights are brake-only, and both modulated. If someone behind you misses this combination there is nothting else you can do! A very cheap, $28 (for VIP) insurance policy. I absolutely recommend this as a safety item. |

I have got to get another set of these hand air deflectors for my other bike as I have using the ones off my goldwing while it has been in the shop waiting for parts to arrive after my step off back in May 2011.. They work very well indeed on my Honda ST1100 as they protect my knees and upper thighs when I have been caught riding in a few light showers as I didn't have any wet weather riding pants untill they arrive in Australia on Monday 22/08/2011 from WingStuff... I would recomend these to an Honda Goldwing owners or anyone riding a Honda ST1100/1300 or even a BMWR1100/1150RT or even the older BMWK100/1100RS/RT's owners or any other bikes that have there turn singles mounted in there mirror pods.. Great product guys |
| Just installed the SMH10's on HJC Helmets. I followed the Sena pairing videos on their website to pair the sets to each for intercom and then to my Garmin 665 GPS unit. The Garmin was also paired to my I phone. So far the product works very well and totally as advertised. I can accept I phone calls through Garmin(and paired through Sena to Helment), and also recieve Nav directions as well. Nav and Phone overrides the intercom, which makes sense to me. The speaker quality and clarity is excellant. There is a slight delay between pushing the jog switch and the unit opening up the communication link for intercom, but not unreasonable. I have only used them for very short distance at this time, but leaving for an 8,000 mile trip the first week of September and will provide supplemental review upon our return or in route. So far, they seem like really easy units to you and for me I really like the simplicity of the system compared to others I looked at. Only rated as 4 stars because I don't have any long distance useage. The install and the pairing for both helmets and to phone and GPS all took less than 30 minutes complete. |
| I ordered and received the LFX24L3BS12 battery in July. I am not pleased with the performance of this battery at all. I have battery bug on my Wing to monitor my battery and it is reporting a cranking health of only 34% on this battery. I have contacted Shorai customer service and their technical support and I have not received a reply. For the cost of this battery I would expect better customer support. While the battery is still cranking over my Wing I am concerned about the reported carnking health. I have asked Shorai if this is a normal reading but like I said they have not responded to my repeated requests. I should have stayed with a traditional lead acid battery. |
| As a Mechanical designer, I think if they rotated the lower 2 rectangular tubes on the H frame 90 degrees and shortened the bolt sleeves. They would completely eliminate the issue of the bolt heads interferring with the fender, without afecting the structural integrity of the receiver. For AO this means having to make one additional part (shorter sleeve for the bottom). Had I thought about it before mounting my hitch, I would have 3D modeled it and run a stress analysis on it to see what diferences there might be. All in all, pretty easy install on my 08 which only took about 1.5 hours. Waiting for the wires co come before pulling my trailer. |

Here's my update to my original review. They (Sena headsets) still don't work as advertised. After working with one of the SENA technical people over the phone and basically being accused of not following the simple 4 step directions in the manual, they eventually sent me a new pair of headsets. The new pair did sync for intercom use, but when synced the Bluetooth functions didn't work! It seems as if you have to choose one feature or the other, you can't have them all. I just returned from 2500 mile trip from California to Yellowstone where I tried dilligently to get all the features to work. My wife finally told me to turn them off, put them away and forget about it. I'm glad the other reviewer got them to work. For me, this was a waste of $400 (Oh yeah, I had to buy additional special mounts so they would fit my HJC SyMax II helmets). I'm thinking I should have gone with a wired solution or one of SENA's competitors. One last note, the jog dial is a disaster. I thought it was a really cool feature at first. One bump, ever so slight and it sends the headset into limbo. Because of where I had to mount them on my HJC helmets, the are more rear facing than side and occasionally my wife would accidently bump my jog dial and turn off the intercom and put it into limbo mode. |

I just installed front and rear with new tires. They are definitely smooth as everyone says they are. But Pricey, Pricey. I have always achieved same level of smoothness when balancing my own tires but became concerned with cupping reducing tire life so I'm trying these. If tire life isn't increased, then they're not worth the price in my view. Time will tell. I do hear the swishing of the beads below 40MPH. Kind of annoying but no big deal. Anyone considering Dynabeads instead of these, what does an emergency fix-a-flat tire repair do to Dynabeads? Bothered me, that's why I went with the Centramatic. I will post again after I get some tire wear experience. |
