Just installed on my 2012 Wing. I did it, so it must be easy. The window cleaner trick is a must, and to get the grips to clamp I covered the grip with a towel and used channel locks (easy does it)One word to the wise, don't try to tighten the screws without the grip locked, and make sure when you do,that they're not cross threaded. I managed to break a screw off inside the grip. It seems to be holding with just two screws so it's no big deal. The heat needs to be turned up but still works. The look is nice, added the boss.. I never installed one on my 04' and didn't realize how much I missed it. I'd buy'em again. (and will when the finish wears off the rubber & my hands start to get black again.)
I love this cover. I use it to cover my Wing when I ride it to work and it protects against the weather. I work at a steel plant and it also protects the paint finish from the dust that gets blown around on windy days. Great cover for the price or any price.
This connector was long enough to attach to my battery and feed out through the louver on the side panel of my 1800 with plenty of wire to spare. I had read that some riders bought the longer cable to do the same thing. That isn't necessary. This is a high quality cable unlike some of the flimsy ones you see in some stores.
Installation is a snap and it looks great. The wife is happy which means I’m allowed to be happy too . Another great product from Kuryakyn.
Good for carryout drinks. Water bottles and such. Not much use for long trips. Hard to find a good insulated cup for it. Water puddles in it. Handy from time to time though.
I put the Avons on my 2008 goldwing after I wore the originals out at 9500 miles I now have 20800 miles on the bike,I can eat clam chowder from them the cupping is so bad.The rear has started to delaminate from the cords this while in the middle of a 400 mile day ride .Had to get the biked towed to the nearest city, then trailered home the reamaing 200 miles
Nice peice of equipment. I have used them for over 40k miles and by the nicks and cuts they have kept a lot of road debris away from the fog lights. They do get dirty, as everything else on the bike does but it is a simple thing to clean them.
No Goldwing should ever leave a dealership with OEM steering bearings. In fact, Honda should wake up, smell the coffee, and recognize that the Goldwing is a different machine with AllBalls. Maybe an inexperienced rider won't notice the difference, but why continue to use a product that is so obviously inferior? My front end started to shake at 40 mph after 7,000 miles. New tires and more torque on the OEM steering bearing helped some, then I had the AllBalls installed. It is a different, and WAY better, bike. If you haven't gone with AllBalls yet, now is a good time. No Goldwing should be without this product.
Came with the bike when I bought it. My Wife hates it! Her legs hit on the bars and is very uncomfortable for her. Replaced it and now she is happy which means so am I.
Purchased and installed driver and passenger cup holders. They work great. Diet pepsi for her and coffee fo me on our morning mountain rides.
Trunk will not open when these are in the forward position so you have to open them before the trunk. The constant moving in and out causes them to have to be tightened about every 3 months (thats if you ride year round like me)The drink holder is a added item that should have been thought out better, since if the drink doesn't have a good bit of drink in it you will see it tumbling down the road due to the wind uplift.
Kuryakyn has done it again and come up with a great item. However the underside chrome has a bit to be desired and you see it every time you open the trunk. That is why the 4 stars. It makes it easier to tie the luggage down and gives better support than the round racks.
