Installed these today, Everything is good,EXCEPT, how in the world do you get the 2 small screws back in the mouse ear cover, Mine are directly under the brackets that holds the LED panel. Do I need to remove that panel, the holes will still be under the brackets, any ideas will be welcome.......
ATTENTION 22000 miles on bike no need to change filter looks almost new. i went to goldwingfacts.com seen easy pictures to follow to change filter not as hard as it looked most important thing is to bag and tag the bolts so you can put back in same place. also i wrote each step down as i went a breeze to put back together. you can do it

I installed them on a warm day without a problem. The provided template worked perfectly and I could drill the holes no problem. I used good old spit as suggested in the instructions and pulled them through with a bit of wiggling. Like Bill and others mentioned, they are just that little bit too high making it difficult to close the lid, even though it was a fairly warm day when I installed them. The remote also did not work every time. I think it would be very difficult to close in winter. So, like some others, I shaved about 2mm off the top with a carpet knife. Perfect! The lid now closes easy enough with a backward and down pull on the backrest of the seat. The remote now works without a problem. It still remains to be seen if there will be any water leaks when riding in the rain. Will have to wait for the winter to find out. 4 Stars only because I think they are just that little bit too high and this view is shared by many other reviewers. I’m happy with the end result. |
Received this, great product. Wife and I enjoy how easy it is to load the music and get onto the bike and go go go. Got this durnig cyber monday sale with the player. Great deal and savings. Can not go wrong with this. Thanks Wingstuff.
Bought this based off the reviews. Easy to install. Friend wanted to help, over torque one of the nuts back on snapping it off the threads so be careful. He was only wanting to help, accidents happen. Not sure how I am going to replace that thread and bolt. I took care of the others using lock tight, good to go, should hold nicely in place without vibration. Construction well made, yes will cut your hands just right if you’re not careful, head the warnings and wear some gloves. Have not taking it out to see what the other reviews have mentioned with wind draft reduction. Looking forward to the added protection it brings. I am thankful that I have not had any misfortunes without it before with flying debris hitting the vital organs. I feel much safer with it on now giving that added protection. Great buy, you won’t be disappointed with this.
I am on my second set of Cobra's. I have tried Dunlop's and Bridgestones. I will always choose Avon Cobra's for my Wing if i have that choice. They make me feel very confident on just about any road surface. I know everyone has his own opinion on things like this and thats mine. I will take the Cobras any day of the week.
Installed these three days ago. Weather here was extremely windy, what a great time to test this product; worked like a charm. It did what it was supposed to do. Easy to install. Looks great on my bike.
I love these Wind Deflectors. They are a great addition to my 1993 GL1500.I did as a few others mentioned and used a little lock tite on the threads of the small lock nuts so they would stay in place. I also ground down the top bracket end as others have so it would not scrach my paint. Other then that these are a wonderful accessorie and would gladly recommend them.
I ordered this for travel use on my triked Wing. The full cover takes up too much trunk space for touring. This half cover does the job and is 1/3 the size of a full trike cover. The material and assembly quality is much better than I expected for the price. It was backordered for a month, but worth the wait.

Easy to install and they work great on my Motor Triked Wing. FYI, the "extra" hole was put there by Interstellar Aliens. |
I just received this and installed it. The first time it didn't work but that was my fault; I didn't follow the directions. After removing what I did; I read the instructions again and followed them. It does everything it says it does. I have the outer light as the turn-signal. Read the instructions; there are very clear but I thought I knew what I was doing the first time. Well worth the money to raise your turn-signals.
This item is fair on the install challenge (getting the curves equal on all sides before drilling), I used a string & painter tape to make it equal on the different angles. It didn't say the rack was as high as it is, has a pretty good height to it. I'd prefer lower. So I guess I'll have to look into a rear trunk fairing to kinda fill the space. I sprayed clear coat on it prior to install some points in the welds under the chrome I questioned. As a PGR rider I really like the wings for my flag poles 1/4 holes super for the screw down flag poles.
