Ergo II Highway Pegs for GL1800 Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: KU4056,   SKU: KU4056

I've been riding my '05 1800A since it was new without highway pegs. I was proud of the fact that I didn't need any. I am 68 years old and I can actually lift my leg up on the fairing for a break while traveling long distances. Then I rode with these pegs a few days ago. Wow! What a difference. I think I will be able to sit in the saddle a lot longer now, something my better half won't appreciate I'm sure. And the quality of these pegs are top notch. I just hope Kuryakyn has got their chrome plating up to par. I've had problems in the past with discoloring and flaking and refused to buy anything Kuryakyn for several years. But I couldn't find anything out there that compared with these pegs as far as good looks and being of good solid material so I threw caution to the wind and hope the chrome holds up.Four stars only because of doubts about the plating holding up.

Bridgestone Tires for GL1800 & F6B

Bought my first set of Stones in October 2010 and after 11, 544 miles I need a new rear tire. I ran Metzler's for a few years but after two belt separations on the rear I lost faith in them and went looking elsewhere and decided to try a set of Stones. I got better mileage on the rear Metz ME880 (15,000 plus) and those tires stuck better than the Stones do but my faith in the Metz's, as stated above, went south after delaminating problems. The Stones get only four stars for one reason. Mileage! Having said that I am now shopping for a new rear Stone. As an all around tire, there's nothing out there any better in my humble opinion.

Black Ride Off Center Stand for GL1800

The Power Park stand is not truly "plug and play", not if you do your own maintenance and check the pressure in your tires before every ride as I do. I had to cut a 3/4" board to clear the rear tire so it would spin and it had to fit in the saddlebag in case of a flat on the road. But I expected this, it was just a bit of a hassle getting the board just right. Another issue is the starter, at least mine, will not power park the thing while two up.And no my wife and I are not overweight. The video demo is a bit deceptive too. Conditions have to be perfect for the stand to work as shown. Other than these issues I'm OK with it. I have to be, it cost me $169.00. Would I buy it again knowing what I know now? Hmmm. Good question. The jury is still out...
