I did this very carefully because of other comments about the inaccurate template.The ejector pin marks don't line up right. The "mark with awl" points match up with the little nubs on the underside of the lid.I matched the nubs with the template marks and it fit perfectly after drilling and looks fantastic. When I saw that people were drilling their holes wrong I thought they must not be paying close enough attention to detail but they were right, THE TEMPLATE IS WRONG. |

| I just bought a new 2012 Goldwing, and when I ordered it, I also ordered a chrome OEM Honda kickstand. Well THAT one was HALF the size of this Kuryakyn Kickstand, and even cost more! (Wanna buy a used OEM kickstand, call me...lol) This not only looks really sharp, it has a much wider footprint than the OEM stand, which makes me feel alot safer! Instal was easy, took me ten minutes! Look for the rest of my honest reviews of the MANY products I added to our wing! Wingstuff is great to work with, their customer service --is TEN stars! |
| I had this installed by dealer on my 2012 Goldwing. I ordered it because it says CHROME, yet the top of the switch block, uses the OEM clutch reservoir cover which is BLACK. It makes NO sense, and I had to order chrome tops for it. Rodney at Wingstuff is VERY helpful and knowledgeable, and has been great to work with, since I ordered ALOT of stuff! Thanks Rod!! But, why in the world you would make a chrome switch body and use a black top is beyond my imagination, - it looked stupid...but that's MY opinion. So product gets 3 stars, because of my time and more money spent correcting it's appearance! Otherwise it works great & looks ALOT better with the chrome top I ordered too! |
| While this battery was not a difficult one to install, it did take a little figuring out how to get the terminals set right and once in it started the bike right up and cranked it over like a champ. I am giving it a 5 but do believe that the company should make it fit like a stock battery and give a little direction on its installation. Also, wanted to say that I ordered the battery on a Friday and it arrived on Monday great service. |
| i had this on my old gl1500 with showchrome arm rest but on my new 2012 i put on thr kury arm rest and of course no go no room to mount so i ordered the add on accy flag / light mount #AO998138 and with a little trimming to rubber spacer i t works and looks great using just the star nut and the cup holder from the old kit didnt use other brackets and a longer 1/4 " bolt and flat washer of course a little more caution is now required to open trunk so i dont push it thru the speaker |
| Okay, so I have a 2001 GL1800. I have had my fair share of tire wobble about 6K into each and every new tire I have put on my bike. I ride around 12K yearly and have purchased new tires every year for the past 5 years. I purchased the brace last fall and installed this spring with a warn and incredibly wobbly fron tire. Immediately after mounting the wobble is 98% gone. Before mounting the brace at 30MPH the front end was all over the place without a firm hold. After mounting it was barely noticable. Dont make the same mistake I did.......this thing works!!!!!!! |

I put the first set of these on my '06 Wing right after wearing out the originals. I've had 3 sets on since then. These are great all-round and wet weather tires. I love em!! |

| Adds a lot of stiffness to the front end… This is a good thing too as I found the stock to be mushy. I have an ‘89 GL1500 and I installed my progressives back in 06’. Added air to the forks too as my ‘89 did not have this feature. This combination makes for a very responsive sporty front suspension for such a big bike. Taking the old ones out and installing the new ones can be a bit tricky. If you’re doing this at home this is a two person job. One of the two should be a pretty hefty bubba to get the spring back in without tearing up any threads inside the fork. |

| While not a bad concept I swear I could feel the front bounce a bit when stopping (30mph down to the last few mph.).. This was likely due to the weight becoming unbalance in the dynamic shift of the beads. Now I like twisties or turns so tight that the RPM’s are wound out but you can't take the curve much faster than 25mph. This also seemed to be the speed the dynabead would cease doing their thing. Maybe some of this was my imagination but I did give'em a try with the new tire for about 1200 miles and just didnt like them too much. Maybe these beads are great for sportbike riders on a race track or straight highway long haul riders. Just not for me though so I went back to the old weights. Now what I may do is, later as the tire ends it's lifespan, say into the last 1500 miles then I may slip the beads back in to make up the difference as a tire may wear out of round. |
