I had a set of these put on at TN Spring Fling in Pigeon Forge, TN this April....other's had recommended these....I guess the best way to tell if they work is to forget that they are on....I found the Wing smooth, no vibration in the handlebars...smooth driving into curves and no pull with both hands off handlebars ( not recommonded to often )...I first noticed the noise at slow speed, but you will tune that out too...I would highly suggest a set of these for the Wing or Wing Trike...you will forget they are on...just smooth riding....
I have liked the looks of this spoiler. The one thing I wish they would have is a red lense instead of the clear to match the red lenses on my CSC Viper trike. The lights are red though.
I had one on my 2007 and now my 2012. I liked my other one and bought again. Wife likes the additional height to reduce the buffeting for her.
I really like the looks of this compared what was original to the Gold Wing. It looks good on my 2012 CSC Viper trike.
On both of my Gold Wings I always felt I was reaching for the handle bars. I could always feel it after a long ride in the shoulders. I ordered the standard to move them back & in for my short arms. I feel more comfortable while riding.
I was hesitant on tying these at first. I just had new tires mounted and balanced and they felt good. I put 2oz in the front and left the 1.25oz weights on as well. Very smooth so I removed the lead weights. Still great. Put 4oz in rear and removed the lead. Even with new tires and balancing, I can tell an improvement in the balance. They are perfect. Yes, they are hard to add through the valve stem but it is worth it.
I will be adding this tomorrow. Question is, I wonder if WHITE will be legal for a brake light?
In the older version of this flag pole, the set screw that actually held the flag pole in the holder, just butted up against the flag pole. The newer ones the set screw goes all the way thru the flag pole and threads into the other side of the flag pole. I lost my first one and actually went back and found it. Decided to add a second one to the other side and later leaned up against it and it broke off. Bought another one to replace the broken one, and then my original one, came loose and went flying down the highway somewhere. The price has gone up considerably and I'm not so sure it's worth what they are asking for them now. The fold down feature is nice if you use a cover on your bike.
This is the second cover I have ordered, great for dust. Here in Texas last about 8 months, just received my new one, issue is the center tie down is to short, does not reach other eyelet.
Anyone thinking of getting these need to go for it, they are excellent and so helpful. The only problem I had was quality control, the first set were missing the last two DVD's I needed for the 2012 so I had to send them back and Wingstuff sent me a new one, seems funny they couldn't just send me the two missing DVD's service was good however. Then I have one DVD that is scratched and will not play all the way thru so it is useless to me. Would buy again Fred's instructions are really good.

Replaced my original OEM filter yesterday with the K&N, rode today for about 200 miles. A noticable engine performance boost. I have the Torqloopz exhaust mod installed and this filter made the exhaust and engine in general growl a little more and very nicely indeed. Having said that....what the @#*^%@&@ was Honda thinking burying that air filter so deep. Jiminey Christmas, the intake engineers must have been on LSD the day they whipped out that design....that or marketing decided it would be a built-in paid dealer visit to get the job done by the majority of owners. Anyway, here's a very good Youtube by Steve Saunders that demonstrates how to pull off this job. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0mrauHy9uk Even with this, it took me 5 hrs to complete, being my first time in that deep. I imagine the next time I should be able to cut that in half. I will admit, I did learn a lot about my bike in the process...and, I installed some LED lighting while I had access "under the hood"...;-) |
The previous review said it all, well just about. Don't know why Honda doesn't include this as a stock part. Be sure to file the edges.
