Gen 2 Chrome Fork Brace for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU7339,   SKU: KU7339

I’d been reading and researching fork braces for several years and initially thought, if Honda felt they were needed they’d be standard equipment. I was wrong! As good as the engineers who design these bikes may be, they aren’t perfect.
For starters, I’ve had 3 new Hondas over the last 10 years and all came with Dunflops. All cupped and shook like mad within 5k and could never get any warranty service on them. Very dangerous tire & wouldn’t use another if it were given to me for FREE.

After much research decided on Bridgestone’s for replacements and must say, with just over 1k on them they are fantastic. I also had the proverbial low speed issues and took the leap of faith with this fork brace. What a difference. Not so much at high speeds, but low speed handling is greatly improved. Easy install, looks great & improved handling at a reasonable price. What more could one want?

Motorcycle Tire Ceramic Balancing Beads
ITEM CODE: PG27738

After trashing the Metzler 880 after only 10000 miles and putting on the the new Dunlop on the rear, I noticed an immediate difference in the ride. 1500 miles later they still seem to be working great, but I will review after 10000 to see the long term effect.

Only one post in this stream says to use 2oz, which I did according to the instructions. I can't figure out why everyone else is putting 3-4ozs in a 180 tire. By the way, I bought the 70 series, not the 60. It corrects the error in the speedo almost perfectly. Only off 1 MPH at 80 MPH according to Garmin.

My mileage seems to have increased as well. I don't know if it is the new tire, the beads, the difference in tire size or a combination of these factors.

As stated in many reviews, the tire debate depends on personal preference. I have received better mileage and performance from the Dunlops than the ME880s. I only got 10000 out of my rear 880. It has the same whine and road noise as an older Dunlop in my opinion. This seems to happen with any tire that is 50% or more worn. It is the nature of tires, tread, wear and road surface. And, yes, I watch the tire pressure carefully. I check it cold each day that I ride and adjust appropriately. The front 880 now has 12000 on it and still more to go.

The noise can be a good thing. It tells you that you are still in motion on a tire that is not flat. It is only a bad thing if you wanted to stop 10 feet ago.

The hitch over all is nice. I think unless you have some type mechanical skill you should not install it on your own. I just did mine and I have been working on motorcycles my whole life. I bought a 2012 goldwing ordered the hitch right away. When I got it I was shocked at how poor the instruction were. On my bike I had to take the inner fender loose and move the wiring harness on the right side so it would not be pinched by the support bar. I also had to loosen the mufflers to get it in. None of this is in the instructions. So take your time.

I have a 2004 wing which had these on it when I bought it used a couple of years ago. The right side went out and I bought a new set to put on it. Getting the wire into the mirror compartment and hooking the connectors was not exactly a cake walk. I will admit I have rather large hands. Overall not a real hard install but a little harder than any of the reviews I read. May just be me.

5 Pin Stereo Headset for Open Face/Modular Helmet w/ Boom
ITEM CODE: IMHS-G130P,   SKU: IMHS-G130P

I purchased two sets of these headsets three years ago when I was at the Wingstuff Store. I was hesitant to buy this thinking I needed to pay at least $200 a set to have something that was good quality and sounded good. The store staff told me that I would be very happy with this headset and they were right! I have had no problems and they have been through a lot of riding. These headsets have a heavy duty cord with heavy duty plugs. The sound is for music is really good. The microphones are not the best in the world, but really not that bad. I have recommended these headsets to everyone I ride with.

Beverage Butler Motorcycle Drink Holder
ITEM CODE: PG02084

Bought the 34oz for my 08' GL1800. I just about used the ThermoServ cup every day, on and off the bike for the last two years. Keeps ice for about two hours in 90°F temps. Doesn't get in the way of the controls. Does NOT leak at lid. Straw works well with my Arai Profile full face on. I just tilt my body forward to get a drink and keep cruising. The mounting bracket is a little clunky, but it's made for a universal application. (i.e. ATV, Harley, Metric MC.) This thing isn't going to win any beauty contests. It is what it is, a big, ugly, sippy cup bolted to the handlebars. ;)

It fit on existing stand with precision. No customizing required on my part. Used a little blue Loctite and it was ready to go in no time. I would definitely recommend this based on my experience.

Biggest problem was having the valve stem stuck open because abed became lodged. Had to remove the inner stem to dislodge. Not really sure if they helped my driving performance. They are the cheapest alternative.

After filing and grinding for 30 minutes I finally slipped the pad on BUT if it sits on all the way it does hit the fairing severely! No Good. It is just too wide at the base. I had to pull it back outwards to keep it away from the bodywork. Now it looks just awful!
I will grind the pad to reshape it as far as possible and hope it will fit then without bashing the bodywork. If not I throw it away. My verdict: Good Idea, Bad Design
