purchassed these lights before the revised installation directions....requires removal of front cowling to install. recomend you test these lights befor anything is attempted. kind of a pain when the front is off and several of the lights don't work once installed they look great.
I purchased this unit a year ago today, have had one faulty sensor replaced, and fell victim to the flexing valve stem problem where the front wheel sensor caused the rubber stem to flex until it started to leak. Last week the monitor display went dark in one corner and the entire display is now too faint to read. I called the manufacturer, spoke with Amanda, and the first thing she asked was if I had dropped the monitor. I said that I hadn't dropped it and that it had always been in its rubber case. I was instructed to send the entire unit, sensors and all, back to them so the warranty department could evaluate the failure. I am awaiting their response.
I have never been more disappointed in anything before like I am about these pegs. My pegs started to rust in ONE year and my bike is stored in a climate controlled garage! I see they are using a CHEAP way of chroming their products! What do I do re-chrome them or buy another set of cheap chrome pegs?

I just installed this on the my 2012 GL1800. One of the reviewers said that it interferes with the heat vent mechanism. It does not if you install it as instructed. You must drill the hole on the small upper right side of the fairing pocket where the X indicates to drill. I drilled the hole slightly smaller than the recommended size, then carefully pushed and turned the power plug through the hole. This effectively created a threaded hole on the fairing into which the power plug is secured. I also used the included rear nut for extra support, but it is not really necessary with the tight fit I have. As mentioned by other reviewers this has an inline 3 amp fuse. Check the accessories you are planning on running off of this plug. I am running a 1.85 amp air pump and a Garmin navi - so no problems blowing my fuse. |
Put these on two weeks ago and went on a little ride yesterday. Hey the temps are still below 40 here in Utah. The install went pretty good. I used a band saw to cut the plastic cover piece and then trimed it up with a dremmel tool. Soon as the weather breaks I'll go on a longer ride to see if it helps with the stiff lower neck issue I've experienced in the past. I figured for $80.00 bucks it was worth a try.
The fit on these are not good. The left side on just fell out on me 2 days ago on a ride to Corpus Christi. I'm holding off buying again hoping someone knows of a better product.
This is such a great touch and an easy install. One little not though, the bolts heads are a little soft, so be careful when tightening.
Highly recommend
anyone tried these on a 2001-2005 goldwing? the initial screen says they work on 2006-2012 but the instructions posted here mention 2001-2012. Any insight would be appreciared.
Lights shorted out and wiring burnt up from the lights all the way to the mirror before blowing the fuse. It was a little dramatic, LOL. I was riding my Gold Wing with a group of fellow Harley boys when smoke started rolling out of my right fairing, I pulled over and shut it off and caught a ride home to pick the bike up with a trailer. I was afraid of a fire if I kept it running. Was surprised to find the wires burnt up.
Perfect color match perfect fit. Easy install just follow the directions and you will get a nice install in about a half hour. I have a blue 2012 and the color is spot on!
No clear instructions anywhere they assume you begin with all the back end were the hitch is to be mounted is totally exposed. No way to find clear instructions the cross bar on my 2012 navi is fit tight up against the bottom of the rear tail light assembly. The saddle clamp has no room to be fastenned. The folks at wingstuff are great but can't help so now it is a waiting game to see if Add On Accesories can resolve. I called two local Honda dearlerships who said they will not touch this. But I beleive that may be due to liability....If this can't be resolved my rating will drop to 0
