I read what others said and found that the brackets fitted, but the hitch plate face was very poorly aligned with the mounting tabs , requiring cutting and welding. However there is a far more serious issue; WHO DESIGNED THIS THING? Vertical (downward) tongue weight forces (often quoted as 10% of gross trailer weight- more if a mono wheel trailer) are simply not addressed, except by the two M6 bolts which fit into little threaded blocks on the subframe. Remember that this weight is multiplied over bumps. The locating holes, far oversized for ease of locating, will allow movement under load, chattering and rapid wear to the inadequate bolts. The only way I could use this hitch was to add my own 45 degree brackets up to the frame under the seat. This took quite a while (similar idea as Rivco hitch), which is well up to the job. It remains to be seen as to whether my mod will provide the vertical strength required. BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT. Trailers can really spoil your day if the hitch is poor. |
I found the shims did not have enough material to be of any benefit to me. They did help a bit but not enough to make a difference. I believe they needed to be thicker and have a greater degree of angle to place the bars where I needed them. It cost me $ 121.00 Canadian dollars, $ 86.00 American including shipping for something that didn’t work and you can guarantee I won’t get a refund from WingStuff because I don't have the original packaging they came in. Very expensive lesson ! I finally decided to spend my money where it would make my riding as pleasant as on my 1997 gl1500SE and purchased the Heli Horizon Adjustable Handlebars directly from HeliBars for my 2006 gl1800HPNA. |
Over all easy install. I was not ready for the flash relay install. After a few youtube videos everything went smooth. Much brighter and love the flashing break lights. |
Make sure to lay in sun or heat so as to conform to real shape of saddlebag. Also replace 2 sided tape with stronger black color. Remove bag lids and clamp when applying. |
Hondas helmet lock is useless. If you can get your helmet secured it will hang against the painted saddlebag. And only one helmet can be attached ! These cables solve the problem, are quick and easy to use, and can secure two helmets on your seat. And they take up virtually no room to carry along. |
After couple of months two red leds on right side and one on left side are not working any more. It looks ugly. We should get better quality product for that money. |
These foot peg covers look and fit great. Well worth the money! |
Great product and competitive prices offered by WingStuff keep this customer coming back :) *Plz support Fred Harmon & Chris Dikman (aka Cruiseman) Their maintenance/installation videos for Goldwing owners are EXCEPTIONAL! |
I liked the idea of a one piece Belly Pan that is thick enough to guard against most anything, and Lightweight Aluminum. Installation was straightforward and removable for Oil Changes is a big plus. Even though it looks good, you don’t really see it. Kind of pricey but piece of mind and quality makes it worth the investment. |
Really easy to install and work great! |
I have to be honest the belly pan is well made but the brackets that come with it are a terrible fit !!!! Quite a hassle trying to bend them in different directions to get them to fit! |
Extremely pleased with these lights. By far one of the best additions I have added to my 2016 Goldwing. LEDs are very bright and were easy to install. Thanks for an AWESOME product. |
