This one is an absolute no-brainer for a GL1800. Very easy installation. It took me about 10 minutes, start to finish. The functionality is just as advertised. Thankfully, I will never run out of juice for my MP3 player or android phone again. Be sure to check-out the YouTube video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKm-AHXhM78.
Looks great, feels great, and easy to install. YouTube installation videos make the job a snap. Great buy!
Momma doesn't ride all the time and this comes of in a minutes, if that. I will store in the trunk until needed.
Easy install on 2012. As with others, it was nerve racking when cutting into the seat. Just take your time and read the directions. However, being 5' 7" the backrest hits my back kind of high, which is okay but now it feels like i'm reaching for the handle bars. No mre reaching, I just added some risers and everything is good now.
Added to my 2012 Black wing. Looks really nice. I used painters tape to hold in place for a day or two. As with any taped accessory, dry fit first, then stick. So far so good.
I've been through two of these systems. The first one just quit reading the pressures, so the company replaced the entire assembly. That unit worked OK, but the pressures were not accurate. The right and left trailer pressures were as much as 2 PSI different when a precision gauge showed them to be identical. The pressure accuracy seems to drift, even when sitting in the garage where the temperature is uniform across the entire bike and trailer. The receiver unit is fragile, and can be damaged by dropping it or getting moisture on it. The second unit just failed for reasons I can't understand, so I'll be looking at what else is out there. In summary, this is quite an expensive unit for something that is not very robust.
These bulbs do not work on the GL1500. The pin settings are wrong. Looks like I'll just eat $40 worth of bulb. I guess some things are just better bought at the dealer.
This is an easy install and it looks great, too. I had read that some said the flag rubs the paint off of the spoiler. This is not an issue if you install the flag pole higher on the antenna base. The flag will clear your spoiler at any speed if mounted correctly. ...unless you have a fairly large size flag. This one is roughly 4"X6" and should not pose a problem.
easy install works great can monitor my charging system now and catch a problem before it to late. Why dosnt honda install a voltage gauge is a good question

After reviewing the instructions that came with the additional 3241 plug-n-play wiring kit, I installed these units on my 08 GL1800 in about 30 minutes. They fit perfectly and are a great addition to making the bike more visible from the rear. If someone figures out a way to make them work with the brake lights, please post the information. |
I am one of those men who are all gut and no butt. 200 lbs. and an apple sized backside. This cushion is great. Have rode about 3000 miles and have no regrets, even though it was quite pricey. Hope it lasts longer than some of the times I have heard about. Do your butt a favor and get one of these.
OK, first things first. The cord is pricey for what it is, but most of us knew that going into the purchase of the elite headset. So, if you want that headset (Which rocks in and of itself) then suck it up and buy the cord and stop complaining! The cord is water tight at the bike connection which makes it a little tight to connect the first few times. But after that connecting is a breeze. The D connector for the helmet side makes for a perfect keyed fit every time. As far as I can tell it too is water tight.
