| The traction is better than the last set of Avon's. Time will tell about mileage wear. Do your self a favor, next time you swap out your tires replace the stick on or pound on wheel weights with equal amounts of B B's. Or just confiscate some from your kids, Daisey air gun BB stash! Only down side is you can hear them rolling around when engine is off and you push or move the bike. The upside is the smooth vibration free ride. Trust me when I say that the difference is unbelievable, and no need to rebalanced the tires! This is the same principle as the mega expensive Centramatic wheel balance system, at a nano fraction of the cost. |

Race Tech Spring and Gold Valves
| This 2008 GL1800 odometer reads only 19679 miles. The ride was harsh, NO ruff I would ride around manhole covers because it would hurt my back! I was also experiencing the much talked about 30 to 40 MPH front-end wobble. Last weekend I installed the Gold Valve and Emulator fork kit with the Race Tech springs for my wing. I have been a wrench all my life and want to caution anyone that wants to install this DYI kit. Let Race Tech do your install if your level of expertise is under par. Not wanting to chance a botched job I read the instructions several times to make sure everything went smooth. Granted this install is relatively straightforward but suspension and brakes are two things I take very seriously. While I had the front forks dismantled I took the extra time to install the All Balls triple tree bearing upgrade. The money and time spent was quite apparent and astounding on the first ride. Really words can’t describe the difference these two upgrades made to the ride. The front wobbles, GONE! Only down side is, now you can feel the difference between the upgraded front forks and the stock rear suspension. As soon as I can I will upgrade the rear. Hats off to Race Tech! You're the best! |

Deflects Engine Radiator Heat?
| I watched the video about the leg wings that claimed to deflect the engine radiator heat. For the investment I thought I would give it a try. I have always had to wear my chaps to withstand the heat from the radiators when moving my feet to the high way pegs. I am happy to say they work! Went for a 200 mile ride with out my chaps on. The heat was deflected very well and was able to wear shorts if I want! The leg wings seems to have no effect on engine cooling even with the 100+ degree day we had. Very pleased with product and will recommend to all wing owner with high way pegs. Of course time will tell about the durability of the product as other posts have indicated. |

| Exercising care in the routing of wiring is essential for correct install and long life. Suspension movement and left to right travel must be accounted for here. Great product much better that a reflector. |

| Nice for the bling factor! The wider foot print is better that stock of course but will not work for all soft surfaces. I recommend you carry a kick stand pad for safety and to prevent body damage. |

| Nice accent for key and of course the bling factor. NOTE: Anything attached to your key will mar this area after a period of time this item will help but may need replaced in a few years. Have replace one already and have went to just the key to prevent scratches and chrome wearing off. |

| Replaced my old pan with this louvered one. This cured the noticeable increase in engine temperature and protects the coolant tank. I recommend this item because I have replaced one coolant tank too much without it. I do agree with other reviews about the fit of the front cover. A better fit would eliminate dragging the cover in tight low speed turns with a bit of a dip. This is due to the corners sticking so far out on both sides, but it does the job and is a needed accessory. |

Luggage Rack Risers for GL1800

| I did not install my luggage rack for over a year because the clearance between the luggage rack and spoiler was so close you could not fit your hand under the rack to wash the top of the trunk. Glad I waited now, sounds like when you space the mounting up this far it changes the mounting holes, go figure. Taping the trunk lid to avoid scratching is a must. Centering the luggage rack is not easy with nothing to hold spacers and grommets from moving around. The tape did provide the traction needed to get the job done with a few explicative words that seemed to help with the process. I decided to use a small drop of Loctite because of the vibration the fasteners will encounter. Over two years now after install, very happy with the end result. |
