I seem to take my front pockets off frequently so I thought it best to have some spares around for when I damage one.
Since they are OEM, they are a perfect fit. Had to replace a few of mine that were missing or worn. I also have a few on hand now when I need them again. Probably the cheapest replacement parts you will ever buy for the Wing.
After 2 years and 20,000 miles the bracket broke, probably from much vibration. I had used it for a tall metal coffee cup and it jiggled a little at highway speeds. Get a metal one instead.
I had this exact extension on my '08, and never had a sign of a crack in 78K miles. My only complaint was that it wasn't as long as I would like. The only actual extension is the rubber.
I could not be happier. Just installed last weekend using only the 4 and 5 mm allen wrenches since I had already installed the plug and play harness about a months ago. I may need to add some more tape to secure the light a little better but the two allen wrenches seem to hold it securely in place for now. I posted a couple pictures showing what it looks like with and without brake lights lit up.
I bought one at WingDing in Tulsa for my 08. It is still scratch free after more then 60,000 miles. It does have a couple of stone nicks in it, but they are small. Will buy another when this needs replacing. Passengers love the lack of turbulance and wind noise.
Lights up fantastic but...lights were installed in April and by the middle of May the running lights on the left side were out. Never came on again. Brakes still lit up. Called Wing Stuff; return the defective part and sent a new one. Will let y'all know how the new part goes. Haven't experienced Customer Service like Wing Stuff's in years. Great company!
I wrote a negative review of this product in 08/2011. I will give Wing Stuff credit for reviewing my post and having Centramatic contact me. The Centramatic rep suggested that I may have had a bad tire (1st in 40 years), and that I should put them back on with the new tires. I waited until my next tire change with a completely different brand, I got the same result (moderate to severe vibration at 75 mph and above), but left them on mostly due to laziness. Last month I changed out my steering head bearings and replaced the front springs, still had the same vibration pattern. Decided to take them off after two rides, static balanced both wheels, it's as smooth as glass at over 100 mph (same tires). So Centramatic, if your offer reimburse me is still good, I'd love to send this scarp metal back to you.

couldnt wait to get, went to mount and the box says 6mm by 44 mm bolts. they came sae 1/4 20! called wing stuff they said get in touch with manufacture by there web site. web site has been off line for over a week!! NOT Happy. |
Easy install and like having a cup holder that I can access since handle bar locations have other things mounted where a cup holder could be mounted. One thing I have found it is hard to find a reusable water bottle to fit the holder. Water bottles ok but wanted one with a easy open to drink. Found one bottle with a sprayer that is a tight fit but still not perfect.
Got mine at the dealer. Compliments my other chrome pieces.
Adds a nice look to the rear end and ties in perfectly with BB #52776. Easy install no issues.
