I like the feel of the larger grips, it helps eliminate hand cramping, but the chrome started falling off within about 3 months. Kuryakyn must have a very low QC process to make products for 5 star Honda Goldwings!!
I tow an escapade and found the right factory convex to be a problem. In traffic it made vehicles to the right look far back when they weren't. after cutting a car off the 2nd time, I took a hammer to the factory mirror glass, reinstalled a flat mirror glass, and installed the blind spot mirror. KODOS, problem solved. Way better, besides, Honda charges $350 for a new mirror assy (they won't sell the mirror separately (beware).
I meant to say, "the acorn nut" on the back side of the mounting bracket.
I bought mine off Willie's E-bay page, and as some others have said the mounting bracket broke from vibration. However, as others have noted, I made mounting bracket from some heavy aluminum and it's great. I made my bracket just slightly taller in order to raise the acorn knob higher than the handle bar.
Bought & installed by Dealer. Left speaker went out leaving their shop.returned for repair @ next service.mic quit.then other speaker. dealer repaired. wife's mic out now. Quality Problem ?? Never had any problem with older sets. May replace with old unit, was trying to get less wind noise.
Looks great, and fit nice too. So much chrome on my 1800 now!
cleans up the black. favorite piece on tail end i could find. Thanks!
Bought two of these several years ago for the wife and myself.....we love them. Cut D rings off of helmet, carefully thread strap loop into quick release(use needle nose pliers), cut snaps off of strap if they're in the way. It's pretty much a no brainer and there's no need to break anything.
Makes a huge difference in look of bike.I have had these on 3 yrs and they still look great. The dealer has taken them of 3 times for tire changes and they still look good.Take your time installing first time. Do not tighten all the bolts until you get them all started.
I have had mine two years now and once you have ridden with a backrest you wont go without.I am talking about those 400-500 mile rides. At the end of the day it makes a big difference. So far it has held up fine and wife does not seem to be bothered by it.
Easy install on my 2010 looks good nice protection from car doors
I spend a lot of time in the mountains riding and still get 24000 miles on a set of brakes. They work great in the rain also. There are two things I really depend on and this is one of them.
