Easy install, like others have stated "night and day difference in the ride", great price and fast delivery from wing stuff.
This is my second set of the 888s. I have not experienced the handling issues in the other reviews. They do sing to you after a few miles. I only gave them 4 stars do to Metzler claiming "ultra high milage", worn out just under 10k (just like the 880s, elite 3s and Avon's)
I purchased these to stop the excessive road noise from the front tire. I’m having a hard time getting use to the Gold Wing's road noise since switching after 25 years on an Ultra Classic. This helped in reducing some of the noise.
These should come on the bike from the factory. Bought them for the safety factor but they definitely light up the night. Installation was tedious. The hardest part was finding the plug for the switch. The easiest way is to look for the rubber boot under the light control panel (there is only one), and carefully cut the boot completely off. That was the only way I could find the connector.
Broke one of the wellnuts. I did it and asked if they'd send me another one. No dice had to buy the $20 hardware kit. I love the windshield but not their customer service. Poop
When installing the belly pan, I noticed that there is no provision for securing the three sheet metal screws from working loose. I added lock washers under each screw head. But I am looking into changing the fasteners to a "captive" type device. This would remove all possibility of working loose and getting into the back tire.
The OEM covers fell off so I thought why not replace them with some shine. Fit and look great!
My ride gets nothing but the best! Also can't beat the price compared to the cost for the same in my area.
Same quality as OEM and no problem to install.
Great Product fits like a charm!

Let me start off by saying, I love the control of the air flow around the driver and passenger that these give you. I had a problem with my legs rubbing on these when I used my highway pegs. This was solved (short term) by removing the lower wing. This bothered me, partly due to the cost of these and because I lost the use of that wing. After 2 years I decided to do something about it. Using my scroll saw I cut some of the corner off the lower outside section of each lower wing (about 1/2 inch) and rounded it more than it was. Then I sanded the edge to match the original look of the units. Problem solved. Now I can ride using my pegs again with these installed! 4 stars for having to customize the fit. |
I have an American Eagle trailer and like the last review this thing fits my trailer perfect also. I have used these covers on my bikes for years, holds up as expected and I will continue to purchase as they wear out.
