| I put a set of Elite 4 tires on my 2012 wing in June, 10,000 miles later they still have good tread and for me are the best tire for sticking to the pavement, I had the Bridgestones on the bike twice, and both sets lasted about 10,000 miles, I do like the Bridgestones but for me I am loving these Elite 4's and will replace with another set. |
| Theses are far from being a exact fit, but you trim where they interlock, their is a tiny little square that you have to trim or they won't interlock right. and pre screw the screws 1/8 of a inch before you install. Might see the hole where the screw goes Crack a little but not a problem. Looks great when installed. |

4000 miles with this shield on, Works well as in my last review. Every now and then the distortion throws me off a bit. Most often at low speed when your judging curbs etc. WingStuff stepped up & took care of me since the first 16" shield was scratched in shipping. Still the best place to buy wing stuff! |
| I looked on Youtube and found a video that talked about using a very small amount of dish soap instead of the Windex. I then installed half of the clamp on and slid all that onto the grip. Then used zip ties to SLOWLY tighten and work the other half of the clam shell. Total time was about 40 minutes. They look and feel great. |

This is the ugliest thing on my bike! If you like your Goldwing to look good with OEM accessories, do not buy this. You can’t hide the cords. It looks like you have stuck something on your bike with bubblegum that shouldn’t be there. The cord/plug to the headset is too short so it sticks out. You can’t tuck the cord away like the OEM cord/plug does. On the other end of the box, you have to run this cord around or down the passenger seat handle grip. It looks like you have put extension cords on this handle. Yes, the plug that goes to your headset is extremely poor and cheap. It is very hard to plug into it and the cap doesn’t fit at all. I must really love my wife to keep this monstrosity on what was my beautiful Goldwing. Show Chrome you should be ashamed of yourselves. Go back to the drawing board and make a box where both cords come out the same end. Then you can tuck the cords away to the rear of the seat so you don’t see them. |

These things CAN be very difficult to install. I had a terrible time. I used the dog leash method, the zip ties method, and the channel lock pliers method. All failed. In fact, I broke both grips trying to get the clamshell-like pieces to snap together over each of my stock grips. I returned them and WingStuff gave me a second set for which I was very grateful. The second install attempt went much more smoothly because I tried a different method. I used the zip ties to slowly draw the clamshell pieces together and hold them as I squeezed them together as much as I could by hand. Then for the critical final closure event I used hose clamps with a cloth between the clamp and the grip so I wouldn't scratch it. I screwed the clamp down until the clamshell looked snug and I left it that way over night. Next day I removed the clamps and zip ties and the clamshells stayed shut. I'll let you know if they come apart. The grips are significantly fatter than a normal grip because they install on TOP of the stock grips. They really fill the hand. I also added the end weights, the required color ring, and a throttle boss type thing. |
| I purchased this product and received it from Rivco about a week after I ordered it from wing stop. The package arrived, and when I opened it I found several hardware parts (nuts, A few bolts and washers for missing). I contacted Wingstuff referred me to Rivco. Both companies for responsive and Rivco should be the parts that were missing from the kit at no charge. I found the installation to be fairly easy and straightforward based on the instructions provided. I am very happy with the results and the customer service provided. |
| Plastic plate that mounts to handlebar cracked. Redrilled holes and mounted again. Plastic broke again. Cheap, cheap, cheap, plastic. |

with this part,if u lightly press the brake peddle the rear brake only engage.at slowing for stoplights and in slow heavy traffic this is a big plus.. also on gravel and dirt roads,the fear of the front wheel sliding go way down.. my "no not stock parts on my bike" riding buddy has them also. |
| This is one of those things you should never leave home without. Enough said. Buy one and keep it in your saddlebag until you need it, which you will someday. |
