I agree with most of the reviews. Instal was easy and Look great. When I put mine on I waxed them first. When I re-installed all the other covers the frame covers from the plastic guide pins scratched the covers VERY EASILY! Have had them on a couple of months and they are getting scratched up around the footpegs. Not happy. Not what I would consider Kuyakyn quality. For the price should have better protection or scratch resistance. |
This rack really added some pizazz to the trunk of our GL1800. This was an early Father's Day gift and my hubby was really smiling when he opened the box! I can't offer any notes on installation, I had the dealer do it during an oil change and maintenance session. We just used it on a 3 day trip to Santa Fe and it was very handy. For longer trips this will be a must for our extra gear! |
I installed this on my 2006 Wing and it took about two hours. The directions were a bit of a challenge but once installed it worked out well. I also purchased the cooler rack, it's nice having the extra space. |
If you are looking for something that will make you ride look sweet, this is it. It's an easy install. Also, it's a must if you have a cooler rack. Safe riding ! |
The install was a bit if a challenge but with a little patience it can be done. They feel and look great but yes, it does take time for them to warm up. |
Awesome lights. Takes some time to install but not that difficult. A must for any wing! |
I had a problem reaching the ground with the floor boards. Changed to the Kuryakyn Footpegs and everything thing is great now! Looks great too! |
Beats placing bed sheets to cover the bike. I like the ease of packing in a small pack and taking it with you on the trip. It does great job of keeping the dust and dirts off the instruments and seats. It have the full size version which I use at home when store for the next ride. But this half version continue to minimize the cleaning when time to shine the bike. |
Very easy to install on my new base baseball cap with the extra large billet. |
Great bag when taking the helmet with you while the bike is parked in the hot or cold elements. |
I had mine installed at Gary's Hobbie Shop outside of Atlanta, GA along with the Traxxion system. It has been one year and 17k miles. I had the bearings tightened after 4k miles along with the rear swingarm which was out of spec from the factory to meet my preference. Once all the fine tunning was done the bike is how it is supposed to be or should be. I have almost no wobble ... hands free in 4th from 55 to 20mph isn't an issue. Before it was a dramatic wobble which would lead to a wreck without hands on the bars. Now I just enjoy the ride. The setup is worth it and I'm not sure home much any one item contributed to correction ... bearings versus brace versus Traxxion versus swingarm torque increase versus tires, etc. I'm certainly in a better place now with the bikes handling. Good luck. https://picasaweb.google.com/jssiler1272/GarySHobbieShop www.youtube.com/jssiler I've got some pics and videos of the work. |
Good product. Easy to install and works as expected. Thanks |
