Rick's Rides Episode 2: San Diego Coast

Posted In: Events

Join WingStuff owner, Rick Arnoldo, as he rides some of the best roads that California has to offer in our series, Rick's Rides. Some renowned and others a bit more obscure, they will be roads that remove you from the hectic pace of city life and move you on an adventure! In each episode, Rick will reflect on the ride and give the viewer an up close look at what the road has to offer.

In this episode, Rick's Rides is cruising the San Diego Coast. Rick starts out on the historic 101 highway in downtown on Broadway. Then he makes his way through beautiful Point Loma to visit the Cabrillo National Monument and Memorial as well as the Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. He also rides through a handful of other coastal beach towns such as Mission Beach, La Jolla, Oceanside and more. In total, the trip is approximately 54 miles and 2.5 hours long. This tends to be a relaxing run, where you can get a nice view of the ocean and breathe in the coastal air.

Keep an eye out for our next installment of Rick's Rides, Episode 3: Orange County Coast

Rick, you hit the nail on the head. There is nothing more relaxing and soul cleansing than a couple hour plus ride on any motorcycle. I just happen to agree with your choice, mine being. 2013 red Goldwing. What I really enjoyed was your stops to honour our veterans. You are so right, without their sacrifice we would not enjoy the freedom of life they fought so hard to protect. As a veteran from the Canadian Armed Forces I thank you for your support. Keep riding safe my friend.

Rick, very nice video. I ride a 2008 Black Goldwing. I just installed the Honda CB & antenna this weekend. Pat said it all about honoring our fallen brothers. I was stationed at Pendleton in the mid sixties for 13 months before I went to Vietnam. The unit with which I served in Vietnam (Third Battalion, Fourth Marine Regiment) will be having its bi-annual reunion in San Diego the end of August. The area will bring back a lot of fond memories just as your video did. Thanks! Cpl Jack Dougherty USMC retired, Lima, 3/4, Quang Tri 1968
