GL1800 Plug-N-Play Chrome Cigarette Lighter & Power Plug

Installation took no more than 20 minutes! Totally plug and play. Works great, power to the lighter is controlled by the ignition switch. so no worries about forgetting to unplug anything. I have my cell phone charger device plugged into it, so I'm all set!

Product works great and its easy to install once you figure out how to remove the left pocket(just press down on the four connectors at each of the corners of the pocket - you will hear a click and the plastic connector will come loose). Wire the cigarette lighter and connect to the red connector under the pocket. Replace the 5amp fuse with the supplied 10amp fuse in the fuse box next to the battery. (It's labelled 5A Acc Term - middle column 2'nd fuse from top on my 2006 Wing). Drill a 7/8" hole in the diagonal section of the box (upper rhs) and install the lighter. Works perfect, you will like it!

This little gem works like a champ, it kept my Tom Tom Rider powered up, and cell phone chargd. Easy to install, and I love the fact there is a factory plug ready, and waiting inside the Wing.

Since I don't smoke I do not need the lighter itself so I replace the cup part (located inside the compartment) with a flat metal washer. Now if I don't have the charger plugged in - the outlet is flushed flat and maintains the existing open space for any maximize storage requirement.

Grate device and vary handy. Installed it in 5 mins. Was easy, however the instructions did not tell where to put the 10 amp fuse, that come with the lighter. I know it replaces a 5 amp, I just don't know which one on the GL1800, 2008 mod. Goldwing.
