Why Five Holes?
Both windshields for the GL1800 With Vent Hole and Without Vent Hole will ANY year GL1800 Honda Gold Wing motorcycle.  The 2001-2005 GL1800 Gold Wing shields use a five point mounting system. 2006+ Newer GL1800 Gold Wing shield use a 3 point mounting system. Our shields are set-up with 5 mounting points to fit both 01-05 and 2006+ Newer GL1800 Gold Wings. On the 2006+ Newer GL1800 Gold Wing use the middle and 2 outer most mounting points only. National Cycle V-Stream Windshield.

Vent Hole Style

• GL1800 Style Fits ANY Honda GL1800 Gold Wing motorcycle
• GL1500 Style Fits ANY year GL1500 Gold Wing motorcycle
• Retains full use of windshield height adjustment and OEM vent
• Uses existing mounting hardware for a direct replacement
• Only works with new style Honda OEM vent .

Non Vented Style

•  Fits Honda GL1800 Goldwing W/O vent hole
•  Retains full use of windshield height adjustment
• Uses existing mounting hardware for a direct replacement

Stock GL1800 from 2001-2003 did not have a vent.  If you need a vent, just order our replacement vent shown on page as Related Item.
Stock GL1500 owners that need a vent can purchase separately and shown as Related Item on page.

The construction is great, it looks great and with proper adjustment, it does a great job deflecting a lot of the wind. Everybody that sees the windshield compliments it's good looks. I would also like to thank Phil on the order desk for finding this windshield and getting it to me. Definitely worth 5 stars!

	5/16/2009 reviewer: Mike Rating: I thought this shield would be better for protection, but it is not. It should have a little flip at the top to help with the wind. I am not happy at all with this shield as it does not have anymore wind protection than stock. I would not reccomend this shield.
	5/15/2009 reviewer: Blue Moon Rating: Not the easiest of installs. The hole for the vent is not cut for an easy fit, I actually lost one of the rubber grommets trying to fight to get the vent in. The hight of the vent is too high also. I'm 6 ft tall and with this shield all the way up it was in the worst line of sight possible, and my rider said the wind on her was worse. So I lowered it to the bottom and up 2 clicks and she says it pretty good now, but now it's worse than ever on me. As stated by others, it really buffets alot at highway speeds. I do like the concept they were trying to accomplish as the curved edges do help the passenger, but I would suggest they go back to the drawing board. I will be buying a different windshield.
