This is an excellent application! I purchased the "plug-n-play" version for the GL1800. Installation was as easy as advertised. I spent most of the time trying to get the unit and wires to fit under my left glove box. Note: I use a Pioneer Inno satellite radio. It rests in a mounting bracket that I have located in the left pocket. If you sometimes use an alternate device (e.g., iPod) and you decide to place your satellite radio in the left pocket, remember to bring BOTH the original AUX line AND the plug for the AUX line (that is part of this kit) into the pocket. This will allow you to unplug the satellite radio and plug in your alternate device without messing with the audio out line on the radio's mount. This is a bit of a nuisance with the Pioneer Inno's mount.

I have had a XM radio for a year putting up with the alternator noise and low volume. I now have more volume than the main radio and no motor noise. This brings the stereo out. This is definitely plug and play. Took 15 minutes to install. Very very pleased.Worth the investment.

my wife and i really enjoy our music. i have had a sat. radio on the bike since it was new and just updated to a new one. the new ones operate on 5 volts almost blew my new one up by hard wiring it. i found out lighter plug has a voltage reducer in it. i did not like that big plug in my lighter all the time and also had alt. noise. this product eliminates plug and alt. noise. i would give it a ten if i could. all plug and play great product
