GL1800 Goldwing Accessory Lighted Vanity Mirror

Got this upon "request" from wife. I've never had any problems with it at all. I take that back, the only problem I've had is reminding the wife, everytime she looks in the side mirrors to care for her "Hair By Honda", that I installed the one in the trunk for her. Heck, if she were like me she wouldn't have to worry about her hair. But then again, she'd look funny bald!

A great idea but the design needs improvements. The mirror does not stay in its stowed position after closing the trunk, the mirror has to be held in place while using it as it slips on the mounting shaft, the light bulbs keep burning out and show chrome is the only supplier for bulbs. Show Chrome needs to go back to the drawing board with a lot of their products!!

I just installed this yesterday. I was hesitant after reading a prior review that said it would open and drain the battery and that his wife could not see herself in the mirror. I was surprised to see that the mirror pivots so you can see yourself at any angle. Also, there is a switch that will not let the light come on if the trunk is closed. It may be a new version or something, but the prior review was completely wrong. The quality is not excellent and the lights are rather dim, which is the reason I did not give it 5 stars. But it does the job it was designed to do at a much lower cost than the Honda version.

A real waste of time and money. will not stay in possition and door opens up leaving you with a dead battery. Wife likes rear view mirror better. Would give 0 stars if I could.

Mirror is great. The wiring harness is a challange. Directions for the harness are poor and non discript.
