Easy installation except for the one nut on the right side behind the passenger floor board, no easy way to put it on. Be sure to use locktite since there is not enoughd thread for a lock washer. The only other disappointment (not Wingstuff fault, or Bushtec) is no plug on the harness. Just need to find one to fit my Rover!!!

GREAT hitch. Bushtec quality shines through again. I installed it myself. very good instructions came with it. Took me about 3.0 hours to complete. The supplied wiring harnesses are plug and play, and added bonus in my opinion.

Outstanding manufactured hitch, more expensive than most other alternatives at Wingstuff. But for securely pulling a MC trailer that costs thousands of dollars or a Pakit(tm) rack system, this is the hitch for you. Knowing that this is tightly manufactured to the exact specifications of the GL1800 frame assured me that I would not have to muscle it into place, like the other lower cost hitches I considered with reviews. The only issue I had was the GL18000 mount on the right side of the bike being so narrow that you have to work hard to tighten the bolt with special effort. Swing the muffler out of place as they suggest on this side, the left side has plenty of space. Install time for a novice going slowly to make sure this was installed correctly, 3 hours.

After reading reviews on all the different hitches and looking at how and were they attached to the frame. I felt this was the best choice. I bought the Basic version and purchased the receiver lock and trailer isolation relay separately. Took 2 hours to install. You don't need to loosen your mufflers like the instructions say. Hitch attaches to the main frame in 4 places and sub frame in 2. Most other hitches only have 2 attachments to main frame leaving the saddlebag sub frame to carry the load.

Bought the middle kit with the isolator relay.
Hitch:
Great design. It is robust.
Installed it myself.
I hate having to get out both the english and metric tools. Its a metric bike. Bushtec should use metric fasteners.
The isolator relay included in the kit (by Electrical Connection?)came with butt connectors and loop connectors. All were the wrong size (too small for the wire gauge)
The dumbest thing Bushtec does is to provide color instructions with NO photos. Not even a photo of the product. They could a include a CD for about 2 bucks...Dumb.
