GL1800 Rain Deflector Shields for Case Guards

This is a correction of my previous comments. I wrote Richard T. Mauban at Wingstuff and complained about the deflector. Richard handled the problem and with no hassle I very quickly received a new pair of deflectors that fit perfectly. Five stars for the service, four stars for the deflectors!

They seem to do the job they were designed for but they are expensive and the craftmanship is not very good. On my pair only the left worked as intended. On the right side the clip was glued on off place and askew so that it does not fit right. Maybe if I order a new pair I might get lucky. It's a lot of money but the most important thing after all is a perfect Wing.

CAUTION...remove these if you will be doing any twisties. They do a good job for what they are intended, however they stick down too far and will break off if your pegs scrape doing twisties. They are quick on and off so just take them off if you plan on riding hard through a series of twisties.

The Rain Deflector Shields for the Case Guards are easy to install. Remove one bolt on the lower cowl on each side and install with the bolts and spacers provided. In addition to deflecting rain this product deflects wind that would normally be traveling toward your feet. I have these in addition to the Baker Foot Wings to keep my toes warm and dry in winter. I took one star off only because of the price. Personally I feel they are priced a little high compaired to the Baker Foot Wings which serve a similar purpose and are made of a higher grade material.
