GL1800 Sidestand Pad

I give this a three star my fault i didn,t realize it was for a standard kick stand i have a chrome stand that will probably be to wide for this i will probably make it a gift to one of my frieds.Made of very hard rubber will definantly serve it,s purpose.

I used a rubber mallet to slide it on as much as possible. Tried to remove it to file down the back corner that came extremely close to the bike, and it was on so tight I decided to leave it on while I filed it down. Filed down the back edge to given about 1/8 inch clearance with no detriment to appearance. Saw no need for blue locktite at this time. The foot print looks like a huge improvement over stock. Would have given it a higher rating if the intructions would have said what allen wrence size to use for the set screw(I used 3mm) and had the back corner given 1/8 inch clearance without having to be filed down.

Dang... I hate to 4 star it but I have to...easy installation..great idea..bad idea with Kuryakun floorboards. Riding in the mtns of North Ga, Tn and NC I did a bunch of dragging the pad in left hand curves. After two rides I decided to take it off. I was doing a left hand switchback on Blood Mountain, Ga and could not lean far enough into the curve. Kinda pushed me to the right. wish it worked for me. I spoke with Chad at Rivco and he is willing to work me with me on it. Thanks.

Everone should have one, Bike will STAND up anywere know, easy to put on. Thanks Sammy

Fits on nice and tight, a little rubber malet and nice fit, a real plus can tell it makes a huge difference when parking, this is a must have item on my list.
