2006-2007 GL1800 Hondaline Accessory Passenger Armrests

These are very study and well cushioned arm wrests. I installed on my 2008 without any fitment issues. It's great how they have the "factory" look and do not leave any cumbersom moving parts to get in the way of ingress and egress, as well as opening the trunk.

I have the trunk rack installed, and even so, with your arms all the way back to where you wrists are right at the edge of these arm wrests my wife's elbows still have a couple inches space from the trunk rack.

As previously mentioned, installation is pretty involved. It took me nearly 3 hours, but I'm a perfectionist and double check all my actions before performing any destructive actions, such as drilling.

A few important notes about installation:
1) You will need some weird tools. I had to use a dremel for cutting thin metal lock washers off, a hook tool for grabbing those washers, and an oddly sized drillbit for one of the steps (17/32).
2) The "B" lower drilling template is incorrect! I highly recommend drilling the top hole, positioning the support bracket, then marking the bottom hole. If you use the bottom template you'll have problems.
3) The diagram of which support bracket for Left/Right is confusing since it only shows 1 angle in the photo, and its a top down computer diagram. Not a big deal, if you put it on the wrong side you'll see when mounting and its easy to change to the other bracket.

As stated in the earlier posts the install was more than you would anticipate.

I chose these over the other types because they don't (IMO) look as bulky as those. Helps keep that area of the bike cleaner looking.
Also saw these on another Wing and my wife got to test sit them thought they were very comfortable.

Bought these for the wife, they are what she wanted and you guys know, if the wife is happy, I am happy. Install was not that bad for me, but I have all the tools needed to make it an easy job. They look great on the bike and do not interfere with the trunk opening or closing. Once again wife happy, thumbs up on these!!!

IT DOES TAKE TIME TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS BUT WORTH EVERY MINUTE WHEN FINISHED. GREAT LOOK
AND BEST OF DOESN'T INTERFERE WITH GETTING INTO TRUNK LIKE OTHER STYLES!!! 2 THUMBS UP!!!

The install is lengthy but easy. The instructions called for a drill but because it is plastic, I used a Leatherman and it worked quickly and acurately. Once you see how well this thing is mounted, you will see why you have to go to the trouble. Carve out the time and enjoy. My wife loves them.
