J&M Nolan N42, N42E HSICD584N42 Intergrated Helmet Headset

The sound is great. Well worth the money. Take your time in cutting the area to set the speaker in helmet so as not to cut too much at first. A dremel tool is very handy for this job installation. The mic is very clear. J&M definately has a Quality Product. Highly recommended.

Headset: Quality equipment,
provides excellent noise filtering and sound quality is very good even at highway speeds.

Installation: As previously stated a dremmel will make this alot easier. Had to cut holes for speakers and some of the padding foam to get the large speaker to fit comfortably in the helmet. Installing in the wife's Xtra small size helmet required a large amount of the foam padding to be removed,otherwise the speaker will press against the ear uncomfortably.

Fair bit of cutting to do on the N42, however the instructions are first class. Take your time with the marking for the speaker cut outs in order to get the best position. As others have said a dremel type tool with engraver attachment is essential for cutting the access to allow for the boom mike assembly to pass through. Once fitted which took me about an hour it is a classy unit. Stereo sound is superb. Top recommendation.

Es ist wirklich für mich das beste Headset, was es zur Zeit auf dem Markt gibt. Passt super in unsere Nolan N42 Helme. Einbauzeit ca. 20 min. pro Helm. Ein kleiner Dremel zum Ausfräsen ist dabei ganz hilfreich, Einbauanleitung liegt bei.

It suprised me that a headset designed specifically for one helmet would require cutting on the helmet, but it did. However, if you are reasonably careful as you cut, the one cut you have to make is simple, hidden, relatively small, and doesn't take much time if you have a dremel (lay a rag inside the helmet to catch debris from the cut). Once the small hole is cut to allow the mike to pass through, the install is straight forward. Placement of the speakers is important, but when you're done you get outstanding fidelity that far exceeds the fairing speakers. I look forward to the weather cooling down to where I can start using this helmet again on a regular basis. Absolutely 5 stars.
