Instructions are generic, and not specific to any motorcycle or car. That's to be understood since it is a universal product. Installed just fine, but you either need a wiring schematic or someone who knows where the wire is. By the way, on the 2008 GL1800 it's a Green wire with a red stripe coming out of Connector #31, which is one of the 2 large gray connectors under the seat. It may be different on different models or years. Mine is a Non-ABS, Non-Airbag, with comfort, audio and Navigation. |

This is a great product except for the fact that it can't be installed on GL1800 systems without modifcation. The unit is rated for 10 amps & as another user stated, it is not rated to handle the 6 brake lamps on an GL1800. I installed LED lights in the 2 inside positions of the trunk lights which lowered the load well below the 10 amp limit. This way it runs all of the brake lights plus the spoiler LEDS. |

Great invention every rider should have one on their bike.Wiring instructions could be a little more detailed, but easy to fit once you work it out, otherwise would have given 5 stars. |

Easy to install and hooked it up to the brake lights on the bike.. Spoiler brakes come on but are not hooked up to stagger like the bike lights.. Really gets some ones attention if they are behind you.. |

OK I installed it so that all the brake lights modulate as was instructed to do, and worked for one day only, luckely I check my brake lights and found out it didn't work any more. then I did the math. it states that max capacity is 10amps time 12 volts is 120 watts haw ever six light bulbs with 21 watts is 126 watts. So if you are connecting it to the spoiler light it's OK or only to the trunk light bubls but not to all the brake lights on the bike |

this is great .one bit of good news if you purchased the trunk lights upper ..the harness for the trunk lighting already has the extr plug for the modulator ..so again one purchase prepares for the modulator .if not you can buy the Y spitter ... |

I bought the Back-Off Brake light modulator from a local dealer in Eugene, OR. - It was fantastically easy to install. Highly recommended that all motorcycles have this on board. It has definately helped from most people get too close to the back end of our bike. ****************************** are not enough |

Works well and good safety feature, for this I recommend it. HOWEVER, these folks don't know how to install this on a Gold Wing. They are of NO help and don't understand the meaning of Customer Service. The included instructions are primitive and of no help. You'll need to figure out installation on your own. I advised the company they really needed help in this area - they could care less. |
