Fits 2012 Gold Wing (mine has the airbag so it'll probably work on any model below that too). You will need a freakishly large drill bit (13.5mm). You can use a 1/2 bit when you enlarge the holes, but you will have to make it a tiny bit bigger later on. Slowly increase the size of the bit you're using so you don't rip the plastic apart. Installation takes just over an hour. Take your time and work carefully. They seem easy to install, but quite a few parts have to come off in order to put them in. Inner top trunk lid, rear passenger seat, main seat, speakers. To remove the old pads, there are four small posts with nuts. Carefully insert a very small flat blade screwdriver underneath the nut on both sides of it, bend upward. Next, use a pair of pliers to grab both sides and crush it. Repeat 90 degrees on the other side of the nut and crush the other side. They'll just pop off at that point. When you start putting everything back together -- take note of the screw that goes into the speaker from below, the one directly in front of the little cargo door. It needs to be threaded straight up. You can do this by opening the little door and using a stubby phillips screwdriver. A standard length handle is too long. Instructions were fair. They have illustrations outlining the process -- unlike most of the Kuryakyn instructions I've been working with for the past day. |

The arm rests look great with the bike; well integrated without overtaking the passenger's ability to get off/on the bike. The instructions are horrible though. The make no mention of the process on how to remove the existing arm pad from the speaker housing. Otherwise straight forward install... |

One more quick note that I failed to mention in my eariler review..... the product description states "Special Design does not restrict rear speaker audio". I wonder, did the person writing the decription think of where the passenger arm goes?? It is, of course, an ARMREST that mounts on the speaker, and the cut-out inside said armrest is covered by, none-other than, the passenger's ARM!..... As soon as my passenger sat down, her arms covered the cut-outs for the speaker sound .... so the only thing that is "specially designed" here is an armrest with cut-outs to hear audio when a passenger is not present (or not using the armrests)..... If the driver is wearing a half-helmet, then maybe sound could be heard from the rear speakers if a passenger wasn't present ....... interesting that I bought this without thinking of the novelty of having sound to the rear / passenger if they didn't have helmet speakers. |

Not hard to install, just need patience and 2-3 hours. taking apart the trunk and speaker housings, then putting back together is most of it. Like the looks of these much more than the other options out there, unfortunately, Honda is very proud of their accessories and makes you pay out the rear-end for a product that likely cost a tenth to produce. Removing the lock washers holding the stock arm pads on took some prying from under the plastic to get them started, then a screwdriver and a pair of needle-nose pliers to work them the rest of the way off, and yes, need to take off the metal tab clamps at the bottom before they will seperate ...... not rocket science, just takes time. I used a step drill-bit to take care of widening the holes; only drilled the top hole in the trunk then marked, as others previously advised, as template was inaccurate. All-in-all, its worth the time for the looks, but only giving 4 stars as the price is high for what comes down to some pads and support brackets. |

These look like they were stock feature on the bike...I hate the wheelchair ad ons. Installation is pretty involved and time consuming. Weird stupid size drill bits used which really are not necessary to purchase...13.5mm????.... Great appearance and nice addition to bike... |

Glad I read all the product reviews before attempting install. As noted by others, directions are a bit sketchy, but essential information is in them. I was able to save much aggrivation by reading another review which mentioned the 2 "hidden" clips holding the speaker assembly together. Removing these clips allows the 2 halves to seperate, making removal of the push-clips a snap. Also as noted in another review, the template for the lower hole on the left side brace is incorrect. Just drill the upper hole, put the brace in place, and mark the lower hole for drilling. Took a few hours, but they end up looking like factory-installed armrests. Very soft and perfectly placed for comfort, without the bulky "walker" look of some other styles. Well worth the $$$, time, and effort. |

Install not bad. Took 2 hrs. Worst part was twisting off the pushnuts holding the speaker module together.1/2 inch drill works fine for reaming out holes.Start small and work your way up to the 1/2 inch or they could be way off center. Wife loves them, no more raw elbows. |

Overpriced for what they are but are not butt ugly like all the other armrests and the wife loves them. Installation can be a bear if you're not mechanically inclined. |

Purchased a set of these for my 2008 Goldwing and the wife loves them. It took me about 2 hours to install but well worth it. Takes the weight off of the wife's arms by only allowing the hand to drop instead of the forarm and hand. |

These are very study and well cushioned arm wrests. I installed on my 2008 without any fitment issues. It's great how they have the "factory" look and do not leave any cumbersom moving parts to get in the way of ingress and egress, as well as opening the trunk. I have the trunk rack installed, and even so, with your arms all the way back to where you wrists are right at the edge of these arm wrests my wife's elbows still have a couple inches space from the trunk rack. As previously mentioned, installation is pretty involved. It took me nearly 3 hours, but I'm a perfectionist and double check all my actions before performing any destructive actions, such as drilling. A few important notes about installation: 1) You will need some weird tools. I had to use a dremel for cutting thin metal lock washers off, a hook tool for grabbing those washers, and an oddly sized drillbit for one of the steps (17/32). 2) The "B" lower drilling template is incorrect! I highly recommend drilling the top hole, positioning the support bracket, then marking the bottom hole. If you use the bottom template you'll have problems. 3) The diagram of which support bracket for Left/Right is confusing since it only shows 1 angle in the photo, and its a top down computer diagram. Not a big deal, if you put it on the wrong side you'll see when mounting and its easy to change to the other bracket. |

As stated in the earlier posts the install was more than you would anticipate. I chose these over the other types because they don't (IMO) look as bulky as those. Helps keep that area of the bike cleaner looking. Also saw these on another Wing and my wife got to test sit them thought they were very comfortable. |
