Followed Phil's instructions on installation and have had no problem with it coming loose. This is a must if you have floorboards. Installed on the Kuryakyn wide kickstand. |

UPDATE: I ended up taking this off my bike. It would not stay tight even with duck tape making it wider so you can tighten it more. And it also would hit the both of floor board when kick stand was up. And it just didn't add anything to my bike. So I guess I'll just be lifting board and putting kick stand down. No big deal! STAY AWAY FROM!! DOES NOT WORK! |

First thing, no matter what I did I could not get it to tighten and stay in place. I added another rubber piece inside, tryed again...And still nothing. What I ended up doing is wraping duck tape around the spot that I was going to install it to make it thicker and rounder. It's holding so far but I have not put it to use yet. Very bad construction of this part. I watched the video but they don't show the install from start to end. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS NOR BUY IT AGAIN.. |

I've had two of these and have lost both of them. They scrape, loosen up and fall off. Waste of money!! |

Works great -- stays tight, never comes loose...you just have to do the following. Replace the 1/4-20 pan head allen screws with socket cap screws. The pan heads head strips out too easily when tightening too much with an allen wrench and you'll never get it tight. Use red loctite (271) and bolt it together tightly. Home Depot or Lowes will have the socket cap screws. If you can't find them, check an auto parts store. Position it in such a way that the screw heads don't interfere with the floorboards. This is a must have item if you have floorboards installed and it does work great and will never work itself loose if you do what I did. |

I bought this with my floor boards otherwise you have to lift the board up to put the stand down! I haven't had a problem with it loosening up. I did bend it a little to better fit my kickstand so I could get it up a little higher on the stand though. It works very well and looks very nice. |

This product is a piece of crap. It is the usual Kuryakyn bull...nice chrome and material, but piss poor engineering. It will not stay firmly attached to the kick stand without some sort of set screw or other attachment to make it sturdy. Also, the way the tip sticks out, you could cut your ankle if the stand is up and the bike is moving while your feet are down. Don't buy this crud! Look for a better engineered product. |

Nearly essential if you have the floorboards, but I think it would be an unsightly piece of bling on its own. Having just installed it with the boards and the chrome sidestand, it doesn't look like it will create a new scraping hazard. I'm pretty sure that it will not be the lowest point of contact on a good lean. |
