A Really Fine Tire
Didn't write a review for my first set of Bridgestones and I should have because these are great tires for your Goldwing. I really can feel them bite into the road when cornering probably a little harder than I should on a 800 pound bike. They are smooth and a pleasure to have under your bike. I can't say enough good things about these tires and I will never go back to Dunlops unless these tires change something about their makeup. Buy them you won't be sorry. |

Bridgestone Tires
I have been using these Bridgestone tires since 2002 on my GL1800 with ABS. I have always run the tire pressure at 41 psi front and rear and get great milege with them! |

better than Dunlop E3's
I replaced my worn out Dunlop's with a set of Excedra's prior to a cross continent trip last summer. The round trip distance was just shy of 12,000 km, covered during the month of August. Waypoints included Yellowstone Park (a true test of every aspect of tire performance: wet, dry, cornering, braking and reliability) and Indy Motor Speedway for the MotoGP races. (Paid the extra to get a lap around the circuit @ 60km/hr). After the trip both tires have noticeable wear in the centre. I estimate there is 35-40% wear remaining. Handling is diminished slightly as compared to new, but is better than E3's @ 70% remaining. No noticeable cupping yet. In my experience, Bridgestone has done excellent work in matching these tires to the capabilities of the bike. I highly recommend them. |

Mixed Bag
Bought the Bridgestone 406 & 409 for my 2010 GL1800. The tires felt good when I first started riding them. The front tire gave me reasonable wear of about 10K miles. However, at around 6000 miles I pulled in at my house and saw what I thought was dust from the tire contacting the ground as I was walking away from the bike. Being a curious sort, I went back and looked closer because the dust was rather white. Turns out the white was the exposed belt. I had run the through rubber on the tire in less than half the mileage I normally get. This must have been a fluke based on the comments from others. |

Tire Combo
This was a great deal for tires, and this is a great set. I have had no problems with these, and they ride great. Did have the Dunlop prior to these, and no comparison. |

Best Tire so Far
I have always believed in keeping my options open; especially where technology is continuously providing us with improvement. Bridgestone Motorcycle tires, both the G704 & G709 for the Goldwing fit this description of improvement. I ride a 2003 Candy Red Wing and now have just over 100k miles on the bike. I started with a different brand that starts with a "D" and had all kinds of tire related problems thru the first twenty four thousand miles; fist two sets of tires. A dealer of mine talked me in to trying the Bridgestone tires and I have never looked back or been sorry! Before trying the tires I made the move to replace the triple tree head bearings on my ride with the all balls ball bearings; this improved the feed back and enhanced the rode feel, but did nothing for the shimmy and tire cupping problems experienced with the "D III" brand. After swapping to this tire combo I am pleased to say the 75k plus thousand miles have been a joy and I have never been more pleased with a motorcycle in my life. Fifth Goldwing owned since 1987 and the longest I have every owned any motorcycle. I feel mostly due to the tires at this point, not taking anything away from and awesome bike. |

Great tires
Have been riding a Goldwing for 10 years now and have always bought them from WingStuff - have tried other brand tires but always come back to these. They do not cup if you keep them aired up and I consistently get 15,000 to 18,000 miles on a new set. Wingstuff is the place to get them!!! |

Best tires for GL1800
I ran 3 sets of Dunlop and all 3 sets had lopes in outside edge of the tire. Even though I got about 25k miles on them. I switched to Bridgestone Exedra. I am on my 2nd set and they have been smooth all over for 25k miles. They give a smoother ride and they seem to grip the road much better than the Dunlop. I had a bad experience with the Dunlop on wet pavement, went to fish tailing when I shifted gears. Luckly I was able to get out it. I wouldn't choose any other tire than the Bridgestone for my 2006 GL800. |
