Excellent Product
Have had on my 2002 Wing for 15 years and it has never loosened or come off or sunk in the asphalt. Should be first accessory. |

Excellent product
Simple installation with one screw that holds the pad tight to the kickstand. The shrewd and pad provides a bigger footprint on the kickstand so it won't sink in soft ground and cause the bike to tip over. I recommend putting some blue locktight on the screw to keep it from losing up. |

Excellent product - Stability for my bike!
Works exactly as you need it to. Slide it on, tighten with the set screw. This has not moved a bit and gives me peace of mind when parking on potentially soft areas. |

Works and looks great. I put some RTV silicone in the slot and hit it with a rubber mallet then tightened the set screw... It has not moved... Completely satisfied!! |

Ugh
Ordered this and received about a year ago. Went on in a jiffy and worked great, until, this past Saturday. They put the set screw on the wrong side as anyone that does twisties will tell you, you are going to scrape the boards and whatnot. With the larger stand pad it is the first this to touch and wears out the set screw then the dammed thing falls off. Luckily for me, it fell off in front of my garage after a full day of riding in the mountains. I`m going to try to drill into it to add another set screw from the other side. If it had been manufactures that way in the first place I and likely several others would have this issue. Poor planning on Rivco`s part. |

Black Anodized Sidestand Pad
I have a 2015 Gen 2 Level III. This pad did not slide on as advertised. The instructions tell you to take a file to the underside of the kickstand to file down the castings and then it should slip into place. The problem is not the underside. On my side stand pad it was the right side of the kickstand. I did a little filing, and then took a rubber mallet to it until it was seated in place. The set screw is overkill on my side stand pad, because this thing is NOT coming loose. Once in place it works as advertised. |

Not Everything Is Always Easy
Ok guys, let's be honest about all of this. Some have had troubles with this and some install in only a couple minutes. I am afraid that I am one of the ones who had to put some (as in 3 hours, give or take) work into it. BUT.....the problem is NOT Rivco's fault. The F6B kickstand is a casting. A quick glance tells you that. The stands are cast and then final shaping is done by hand. Clearly, some stands receive more shaping than others. Apparently some workers are willing to put in extra effort and some do not. In my case, the foot of the stand was too thick fit into the channel of this pad. In my case, I needed to use a hand file to shape a lip on the aft edge of the kickstand foot in order for it to properly fit the channel of the pad. Then after getting the proper shape, I had to repaint the stand as I'd filed most of the paint off of it. However, after 3 hours of filing and fitting and painting....it install nicely and does a great job in service. It would have been nice if Honda had a little more consistency in their manufacturing of the stand...but the fact that they don't can't be blamed on Rivco. When the stand is up, the edge of the pad comes terribly close to the pipes...but it DOES clear. The pad is well made (for what it is) and cleanly finished. I'd buy it again. |

Works perfectly
This one is easy. Took a couple of minutes to put it on. It's never come loose. I didn't need to cut, grind, force or any other such activity. I just finished a 15 day, 3500 mile trip and never had a problem with it. The only possible complain I can think of is that it stands the bike up to straight (not enough tilt) on some surfaces. This is because it slips over the exist stand. This is to bee expected. I wish Honda would have actually made a kickstand that works without alteration. How do you make an entire motorcycle so well and screw up the kickstand!! |

Update for 2015 GL1800
Finally got around to grinding down the side stand so that this will fit. Now that it is installed I feel a lot safer parking on gravel, no more having to find a rock or piece of timber to place under the stand. Lost a star as I had to modify the side stand |

Perfect Solution
Living in Southern California means dealing with sinking kickstands when they are on hot asphalt. This is just for bicycles; add the 900+ pounds of a Honda Gold Wing on top of the kickstands pinhead foot and well... I got tired of listening to the sucking sound every time I pried the bike loose from the liquid surface... UGH! This solves the problem of the "quicksand" asphalt as well as pulling off onto shoulders which are gravel. I do check the set screw every so often to insure it has not worked its way loose due to the hours of use and miles behind those hours. I recommend this - highly recommend this - product. |
