Ouch!!
I don't recommend these headsets. We have properly fitting helmets but these head sets really hurt your ears when installed. They make your ears feel as though they are being rolled down and then pressed between hard plates inside your helmet. In about a two hour ride we had to stop numerous times to take the helmets off. We're taking them out. Don't waste your money on these headsets. The sound quality was also mediocre at best. |

little confusing
The instructions arent very detailed. After some thought of where to put all wires and testing the little clip that holds everything together. You have to use the tape strips that come it to hold the cord in place. But the sound is good Made my wife happy, good replacement |

Nice improvement
This was a replacement to the one in my helmet. Earlier it was noted by a person about the solder pad and the wires breaking there. That happened to my original set but with a N104 helment the other options are outrageous priced. I was incredibly happy to see the new one has that issue resolved and the improvement is great. Love to have the headset working as designed again. |

Refuse to buy another set
I've bought three of these sets over the past 20-months and they suck. OK, sound is good, and the speakers fit nicely into the helmet pad, but the weak link in this system is where the cords from the speakers and mic meet and feed into the boom mic. This is a small solder pad where all the wires connect and can pull apart very easily. I've repaired them too many times to be worth the problem. Now the mic won't work and the left speaker went out on a ride today. J&M for me from now on. |

GOOD DEAL
I bought my first set a few days ago. They sound great. I ended up putting it in my half helmet. It only took a few minutes. The speakers come in a little bag with Velcro. They stuck to the straps on the helmet. Very easy and worth the money. |

Three years of hard use and still going strong
I purchased two sets of these headsets three years ago when I was at the Wingstuff Store. I was hesitant to buy this thinking I needed to pay at least $200 a set to have something that was good quality and sounded good. The store staff told me that I would be very happy with this headset and they were right! I have had no problems and they have been through a lot of riding. These headsets have a heavy duty cord with heavy duty plugs. The sound is for music is really good. The microphones are not the best in the world, but really not that bad. I have recommended these headsets to everyone I ride with. |

6 MO. And so far perfect
I have had two sets of these for 6 mo. now and they work like the day they were installed. Sound is very good. Install was easy. Both my wife and I love the sound from these and would buy them again without a second thought |

FLIMSEY
I bought this headset for my modular helmet. It installed Okay but not very easy. The wires separated shortly after installing under normal use. I will probably end up ditching this headset. I will attempt fixing it if I can. I will stick w/ J&M or other brands from now on. IMC is cheap & not worth any savings you get. Dr. Ride, M.D.* *Motorcycle Dude |

I like this set because ...
I also purchased the Vega XTA Touring Shorty Helmet (wingstuff.com) with zip on/off communication curtain at same time to install this headset system. The install was easy and the sound quality is really good. I took the advice of others and zip-tied the headset wiring to the helmet so as not to tug on the thin speaker wires with the lower cord. I do not foresee any problems and plan to follow-up on my review in two months. Overall I was able to purchase a helmet and com system for approximately $123. |

Great for the money
I've purchased three of these, and two of the external headsets by IMC for use with shorty helmets. The sound quality is very good, up to about 60 MPH. After that, it's hard to get my wife/riding partner to understand me. I had some problems with one of them, and ordered another (at that price, it's not too bad), but when the second one lost one speaker, I pulled off the shrink-tubing and found a broken wire. I chose not to try solder, as they're very tiny. Instead, I twisted the two ends together and wrapped them with electrical tape. Then I secured them under the helmet padding. To keep the cord from pulling them loose again, I used the awl from my small Leatherman, and poked a hold through the rubber trim on my helmet. Using a small wire tie, I secured the cord to the helmet as a strain relief. Since then I've had no problems, and really good sound. If I hadn't had to repair the connection, I'd have given them 5 stars. If you secure the cord when you put the unit in your helmet, you'll give it 5 stars. |
