Easy install once you figure out how what goes where. Typical less than great instructions from Kuryakyn. Never did find a socket that would fit the bolts. Must have different sizes in the Orient. Would recommend running the rails into position before installing the back vertical plate. It is really in the way as you try to position the rails over the exhaust pipes. |

Looks great and not to hard to install AFTER you figure it out. The instructions are not very clear and different sockets are needed than listed in the insructions. All in All however the hitch itself feels strong and looks great. Instructions need to be more detailed, pictures were not clear and the listed tools are not the correct sizes needed. |

Hitch was fairly easy to install. Mostly hidden except for chrome clamps that mount on rear crash bars. Pull Time Out Camper with no problems. |

I spent about 3 hours installing. Much of the time was trying to adjust out a couple of 'problem areas' that I was not successful in doing. The right side trunion bar ended up in rather hard contact on top of the muffler. On the left side, when folding down the passenger foot rest, there was metal to metal contact of the back edge of the foot rest with the front of the hitch bracket. The right side foot rest had plenty of clearance. These problems may be specific to my bike, '07. They aren't major but I dislike having metal to metal contact resulting in increased wear. I experienced the same tight spot that flglrider did with the c-clamp...getting it behind the top crossbar. However, I loosend the 4 bolts on the 2 crossbars allowing a little play to allow the c-clamp to slide behind the top bar as instructed. All in all, a good product and I am happy with the end result. |

Very easy install, directions are precise and easy to follow. There are just four allenhead screws holding on rear fender panel on 08 model, so don't worry about looking for the 5th one. Hitch is very stout. Pulled Bunkhouse camper over 300 miles without problem. |

Debated between this trailer hitch and the staff pick Item #: AO451806 for $149. I sent an email to CWOLAW for his instructions. They were 12 pages long and required the loosening of the mufflers and saddlebags. (Not my cup of tea) He was wonderful for sending the instructions and his instructions were very detailed, but some people still had problems with gaps when reinstalling the body pieces. Taking the cost of time into consideration I chose the Kuryakyn and I am glad I did. The entire install took 2 hours from start to finish, even with making a mistake. I also installed the isolator with the relay Item #: AO451819. All this was included in the 2 hours. The only problem was I was installing the hitch onto a 2008. This years model has a box right smack dab in the middle in the back. It has a large heat sink and I am not sure what it is for, but I do know that it should be left alone. Despite this small difference the only thing I had to do was bend the c clamp part a little in order to get it behind the crossbar. There is very little space between the crossbar and the saddlebag. I had to force it but it did work. The only tow negative aspects to the whole process is the long bolts that attach the clamps to the bars going back are a little long and I had to be careful not the damage the saddlebags. Second is the bolts are different sizes and you need more sockets than they say are required. Overall a strong piece of equipment on the bike. I have no doubts that it can handle the trailer. |

I got this hitch and installed it in a few hours with my son. getting down was easy, greating up - well thats another story. The biggest problem I had was hooking up electrical and keeping the 4 wire on my trailer. (look for my other product review on that) got everything done in time for the 2007 Honda Hoot. I bought a Piggybacker trailer with 12"wheels I didn't know it was back there. GREAT HITCH - EZ to install. (Everything looks good on a Goldwing) |

I added this product because of the recommendation I got from Cajun Cycles. I had them install it for me so I could haul my new Escapade trailer. They did a great job and I am very pleased with the trailer hitch. |

Very nice! But, bring more wrenches. The bolts used under the crash bars must be an in between size? They say to "use adjustable wrench" |
