| So I’ll be the first to tell U about this seat. Took six weeks to receive seat, but they did drop ship it to my house due to some mess up. Not sure what that was but wingstuff took care or it. Now the seats first impression, I would give it a 3 out of 5. There is a big gap in the rear of my seat and you can see down under the seat. The wiring is horrible and for the money could have made it a lot neater, it’s like a bowl of spaghetti. Although I have yet to ride it it does sit ok, ergo seems good but will take sometime to break in. The seat is harder then I had excepted. Some have said their seat sat down and lined up prefect with the bolt holes. Mine did not, and I had to frig with it for over an hour to get it bolted down. Quality seems good stitching all looks good but I’m really on the fence about this seat and I haven’t even rode it. The heat did come on and there was no warning light on the dash so that’s a good thing. So there is the good bad and ugly. If it rides good and holds up to the beating I give my bikes then it’s worth it, I guess. Just excepted fit finish and wiring to be much better. Hope this helps. Oh and the back rest is probably a 4-5. |
| I bought these last summer for winter riding. I can't say the clamps look all that inspiring. The unit itself rubs against the fairing so I'm not going to put them on. Should have tried earlier so I could return them.As far as riding with them, I don't know - too concerned about doing any distance with them rubbing up against the fairing (2017 GL1800) |
| Easy to attach and easy to use. Sticks out just right from under the new floorboards. A necessity for a bike with boards. |
| These filler strips fit perfectly and look good - looking forward to seeing how well they work when the weather permits! The installation instructions were excellent and should be closely followed - try not to twist the rubber between screws when installing.This is the best rear fender filler kit out there for 2018+ Goldwings! |
| Part fits perfectly and looks good - looking forward to trying it out when the weather permits! The installation instructions were very good plus the hole drill templates and adhesion promoter were good additions fo the kit. One suggestion is to add a thread lock (like blue Loctite) to the 2 screws when installing.This is the best fender extension out there for a 2018+ Goldwing! |
| Part fits perfectly and looks good. Self adhesive templates would make the instal easier & quicker vs measuring. Also, adhesion promoter for the 3M tape would be an added quality improvement. |
| Very easy to instal and looks good - but should have a soft rubber sealing strip against the saddlebag to really keep the dirt from coming through. Not sure how long the 3M tape will last in this hostile environment - may have to add an original looking screw & nut - like we use on the front fender extension. |
| The hardest part was trimming the plastic to get it close to the riser shape. Otherwise it’s a simple install where that slight shift in location makes a difference. |
| I didn’t want a “platform” look on the trunk, and this is a simple one that is functional and is easy to connect if you’re accurate-as is for any DIY product. |
