I upgraded from the stock bearings. I was getting the wobble while slowing down, but these have fixed that. So far, so good. Hopefully I do nto have to go back in and readjust them.
Like some other reviewers, I didn't think these would make a huge difference but they really did! Much more comfortable position for your arms and hands. I also think they aid low speed maneuvering a bit. Installation was easy. I used a coping saw with a fine tooth blade that did a nice job of cutting the cover. I finished the cut edges with a file and a sanding drum on a Dremel tool. I am now a believer and I am very glad I installed them.
I added the OEM driver backrest and wanted a more relaxed riding position but options are limited due to the Honda handlebar design. Fit and finish of these made in USA risers is excellent. I didn't take precise before and after measurements but the change in riding position is noticeable and in my opinion delivers the advertised setback in riding position. Installation video is on youtube. I purchased a coping saw at Harbour Freight and extra less aggressive blade pack to cut the plastic cover following the template. I already had a Dremel tool and sanding attachment. My modified cover looks like it was made for the risers.
Have been running Bridgestones for many years. Have always had great milage from the Exedra lineup. Will continue to purchase them. Wingstuff got them to my door in less than a week. Great service.
I had the had wings on my 2007 gold wing and easy to install and worked great. The updated version for my 2021 DCT tour Red look and work great also. Initially they look large in the package, but on the bike they look fashionable and decorative. In the closed position they block the wind very well and add a stealthy look. open they do their job wonderfully by directing lots of air flow in the riders direction. Neutral position - they stay put. The pictures for assembly are dark and not very good and could use a video for installation, also. Also, initially when holding the wing up against the mirror and body of the fairing - you think that it doesn't fit and will hit the bottom of the mirror with position change of the wing. But with the spacers included and once on - you realize that the tolerances are tight and they are well made to fit just right. Took me 45 minutes for first side installation - then only 15 minutes for the other side.
easy to fit
Watched Cruise man , took me 30 minutes from start to finish, looks great.
fitting this was easy apart from the spring which was easier to fit than remove. now its on life is so much easier.Great product.Just a pity it cannot be purchased from a UK supplier.
Great for weekend trips and packing. Form fitting with no gaps let’s you utilize all the space in the hard bags. Open them up, grab the handle and off you go. Fits enough for me no problem.
This "2nd generation" hitch does NOT have a pair of loops on receiver to attach safety chains. Big miss when replicating; rating = 1 star The flat bar is a thicker metal therefore stronger than first generation; rating = 5 star. My first Gen, bar cracked where ball attaches and trailer dropped off, but safety chains kept trailer behind bike.
I usually run a Dunlop E4 on my front and got 22k miles on last tire. Can't find the Dunlops anymore so I opted for the Bridgestones for the front. Don't know what type of performance I will get on them, but the reviews seem to be positive. I do know this... great service from Wingstuff on shipping. Ordered and "poof" they were here in 2 days.
