10 Reasons Why I Love My Gold Wings By Rick Arnoldo

I have owned honda 90, 175, 350, 2007 goldwing tour and now 2021 DCT tour. Switched from 2007 to 2021 primarily because of lower center of gravity and better balance at slow speeds. Needed as I have gotten older - how did that happen? I also added foot pegs, baker hand air wings, head light modulator and tail light modulator. Just finished trip to colorado springs from Indiana and back in 4 days - 2,200 miles. Wind and rain a lot of the way, but no problem with the goldwing. Having the right gear is everything and the goldwing handles weather beautifully. Heated seats and grips and gerbig heated jacket liner - plush ride. Pray I have many more years of riding in me - truly blessed to be able to ride and enjoy this beautiful bike.

I had the had wings on my 2007 gold wing and easy to install and worked great. The updated version for my 2021 DCT tour Red look and work great also. Initially they look large in the package, but on the bike they look fashionable and decorative. In the closed position they block the wind very well and add a stealthy look. open they do their job wonderfully by directing lots of air flow in the riders direction. Neutral position - they stay put. The pictures for assembly are dark and not very good and could use a video for installation, also. Also, initially when holding the wing up against the mirror and body of the fairing - you think that it doesn't fit and will hit the bottom of the mirror with position change of the wing. But with the spacers included and once on - you realize that the tolerances are tight and they are well made to fit just right. Took me 45 minutes for first side installation - then only 15 minutes for the other side.

Very easy to install. I permanently installed daylight sensor on left top plastic panel under left handlebar. I drilled the hole for the sensor and passed a fish tape (actually a large cable tie with the end cut off) from hole up towards the headlight - took a couple of tries but very easy to do and much simpler than removing panels to mount the daylight sensor. Really easy to do. Cruiseman video shows permanently mounting the daylight sensor on right side and instructing on the removal of panels makes a much bigger deal out of it than necessary. Sensor Works great and you will definitely get driver's attention. I wouldn't want on all the time during daytime, but for high traffic areas and intersections in my opinion. Might be too distracting otherwise. You might get mistaken for a funeral procession motorcycle, but definitely makes you more visible and as they say "better to be seen than viewed!"

The first side took me 45 minutes, the second side took 15 minutes. The pictures on the instructions could be better and could really use a quick video. But works great and really directs and blocks the wind very well. Glad to have them on my bike. Worth the money and quality product.
