Very nice...I had my mechanic do this for me. Chicken I guess. |
Looks great. Installs fairly easily. I recommend using a 5/16" drill bit rather than the 1/4" called for in intsructions. This gives you a little more wiggle room in case your drill holes are not perfectly vertical. Another tip: Run the screws into the rack before trying to mount. This will clear the threads of excess choming making starting the screws much easier. Finally: Don't buy the large chrome washers seen elsewhere on this site. They don't work well with the sloped trunk on the GL1800. The packaged washers work much better although smaller. |
Very nice addition. Be careful to have it in tight before you drill. |
These are a super nice addition. Had the wheels chromed last year...the whole front end area gleams |
This is a pretty kick stand and is holding up very well. |
Must have if chroming all the other parts in this area of the bike. Have good wrenches on hand...the OEM bolts are dry and tight. |
Finishing touch to this area of the bike. Does not get any simpler to install. |
Very nice...looks much better than the tubular version. |
Very nice...need to change the arm to a longer one. My short legs can't reach without rubbing on the fairing. |
Wife loves these. She can change her foot position! When she does put her feet up...it provides me a elbow rest. As far as the weight and the falling down issue...all you have to do is bend the clip that holds the board up. This makes them stay up better when riding alone. Mine don't fall down. They really add a nice classy look to that part of the bike as well. |
Didn't really NEED these. They simply add to the "bling" package. Very nice and very easy to install. |
Nice touch |
