For the price, this thing is great. Only one thing.....when installing it in the suggested place....the face plate separated from its body and slipped down into the fairing somewhere. I guess it joined all those gromets and things down there. After an hour of trying to figure out where it went....I gave up (and then tried to approach things with a more positive attitude) Maybe next week. |
First, save time an buy it here. I checked everywhere (Ebay, Yahoo, etc.) trying to beat this price. Second, the install is easy for the average person. The only thing I had done on my 2002 Goldwing was check (not change!)the oil before this install. The install requires the right tools, patience and cataloging which screws are removed from what hole. Track your screw removal and it will make the job a lot easier to complete. My total install time was about 90 minutes, including the antenna (sold separtely). Product works great with no problems. |
I bought two of these and they are really perfect. Installation on a flip helmet is really easy and quick (about ten minutes). The sound quality (cb, audio, weather, etc.) is great. |
Just a little extra chrome to add that added touch |
Takes some drilling but it is beeter for a rock to hit the plastic then break the fog light |
You have to get this one - fantastic value! |
My experience is like many of these: the adhesive was junk and the rubber keeps coming out of the housing. I used these for 1500 miles and had to work the rubber back into the housing on about every stop. I am very disappointed that Kuryakyn turned out a product like this. |
Looks fantastic. Very easy to install. |
Easy install. Works pretty good. Honda needs to use industry standard connectors on the CB and antenna. This antenna and the Honda Line CB will be hard to measure the and VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) because it doesn't use PL-259 connectors. |
Wow! This was a job I wish I had paid someone else to do. The CB went in pretty easily but boy your sure have to take a lot off to get it in. Only thing I didn’t like on the CB was the non-standard antenna connectors. Most CB and VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) meter use PL-259 connectors. To use a VSWR meter on this one you are going to have to make some adapters most likely. Got it all back together and everything works. |
What a nice piece, looks great, install was a breeze, love the special no spill/no splash lid. Great piece for the money. |
Nice piece, adds a nice touch/sparkle. Just a suggestion when removing and reinstalling the spring, I used a nylon wire tie inserted it at the spring adjacent to the hook on the kickstand, looped and used that as a pull ring to extend the spring over the hook. Did the same when I reinstalled the spring and then snipped the wire tie. Very easy install. |
