Not sure which one sodbustr got, but mine is easily twice the surface area on the ground as the OEM and it looks much better, too. I would have been happy with black... just wanted the bigger footprint. The chrome is icing on the cake. Quality workmanship, easy install, improved functionality, and great looking. I couldn't ask for more. |
Easy way to route handlebar mounted audio devices to the AUX oposition on the sound system. Angled plug is especially nice. |
Wouldn't have an oil pan without one. |
Absolutely necessary. Well worth the money. |
Great safet item. Really makes others better able to see yoiu and what your intentions are. Very easy to install. |
I had the saddlebag/trunk lights installed and LOVE the look. However, some LEDs have stopped working. I can tap the LED window and they will sometimes come on. Obviously, the wiring points are not well soldered. Since there is a 1 yeat warranty, I will pursue with Kuryakyn for replacement. What a pain! |
These look great on my 2005 (blue). It was a simple install only taking a few minutes each side. These are pretty sturdy. My one piece of advice is to watch out when snapping the fairing back into place, the fairing piece's "feet" can break pretty easily if you're not careful. That warning is also in the instructions so you just have to be gentle with it. |
These look great and are quite sturdy. I like them. However, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that there are some problems with any highway peg on a Wing due to the wide fairing; it's nearly impossible to find a comfortable position. On these there is one position that is safe from dragging the fixed arm and still usable; there is another position that is comfi but limits lean. I rented a Wing with these installed with the arms up and forward... I couldn't reach them without the fairing edge cutting into my leg. My Wing has them mounted straight back, but that still limits lean by at least 5° since the arm protrudes further than the engine guard. If you're tall (I have a 34 in. inseam), you'll probably want the shorter arms (4.5 in) but they'll cost you another $25! Since Kuryakyn didn't offer the set with a choice of arms at the same price, I rated them down. |
I have both the lighted trunk and saddlebag moulding. I had a dealer install them, along with a few other things. They look great! |
I have the ISO grips for the Heated grips. I have been looking for the throttle boss that fits these and have just found them and will be purchasing them. I had ISO grips with the throttle boss on my GL1500 and loved the throttle boss on it. I just have to have them because they really are that good!!!! |
I installed this and it really looks good. I do not have the Chrome Lower cowl yet, but will be getting it soon. I'm sure it will make it look even better then it already does. |
Easy to install and look great. |
