I have had KN filters on all my bikes for years. I like the fact they are good for 10,000-20,000 miles without cleaning and recharging with the KN filter treatment kit. And they last a lifetime. HP supposedly increases by 5 HP. There IS a slightly noticeable increase in throttle response due to easier air flow. As with ANY air filter install, it is a 6 beer job. )one, to get the inertia to get started. 1 1/2 to get the shelter off and disconnect all the computer wiring, 1 too look at the mess Honda made of the filter position and contemplate going inside to watch Cops, 1 to get humping and put it all back together, and 1 1/2 more to figure out where all the extra bolts and screws came from (lol).
Easy to install until you drop one or two of the small washers. In warm weather, when used to channel air to the driver, they flipped over on me at 55-60 due to the way it tightens (which gave a quick tug on the front end). Once I tightened it down a bit more than I was supposed to, they worked fine. They are exceptional in the closed position, deflecting all wing off my arms, and the buffeting off my body. All in all, a must have for the tourer.
Not only do they reduce cold air flow, they look very cool with the hand wings installed. 3 minutes for both sides on or off. I actually left mine on until July because they really stopped the buffeting on my lower legs. Then it just got too warm out. I might try the trike-leg wings for more cold air deflection since I moved to the mountains....
After some modifications, as indicated in the directions, and a self defined relocation, this mount works great. You need to have it tuned in with a SWR meter. I don’t have one so, I still need to hit a radio shop for that one.
As a passenger, I don't like it. the bar that supports the rest is pressing against the inside of my knees and is uncomfortable after awhile. My husband likes it as a driver, but can no longer wear his camelbak while riding.
The windshield does keep more wind off me and my wife, but that's about the only thing I like about this product. Whoever did the scratch resistant coating on this polycarbonate should be either fired or shot. I'm in the plastics industry and I've never seen a coating so badly done. The windshield looks as if it has a misting of dust all over it. I would reccomend buying something else.

Very good item to have for spares. Honda OEM parts. |

These are really fun to wear during Christmas time! My ifie and I were out with a our chapter and friends all had these hats we had people in cars honking and waving at us and some even rolled down windows at traffic lights to tell how great they looked. You can spread smiles every where you go soooooooo HO HO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! |
They look great and the fit is perfect. It only took a couple of hours to install both trunk and saddle bag lights. The splices for the saddle bags are cheap, thats the only negative comment.
Great item takes a little to get used too from the old ones but once that happens they are great. I had the honda shop put them in.
Easy to instal and a nice touch against the silver bike
Very easy to go on, after I guessed how to do it. Absolutly no instructions, but looks good. Massive difference between Show Chrome and Kuryaken. Kuryaken being absolutly Superior in everything they make, and the instructions they provide
