Tons of compliments from this add-on. Not too hard to install. The end bar weights like on the OEM handgrips are not needed as vibrations are controlled.
Easy install, but it should come with an alchol pad to clean the surface of the paint. The hardest part of the install was getting the parts out of the shrink-wrap package.
A must to have for plug and play install versus hardwiring using a soldering iron.
Easier to install that I thought. Really enhances side visibilty. No problems with it the lights sticking and it seems pretty solid.
added a great look to the back of my bike easy to install.
Had them on my '94 and put them on my '06 also. Great product for comfort, operation and looks.
Adds a nice flair to the bike and is very easy to install. The combination of the nose bra and the chrome looks great.
I now own two of these, one 32 once and one 20 ounce cup. The 32 ounce is mounted on the rear. I used the "armless" attachement which uses the same bolts as the radio antenna. The second one is mounted the handle bars. I love them both.
protects your remote great. The keys will stay in your pockets nicer with the rubber keeping the keys from sliding out.
Made solid and sturdy. Its a great for streching your stiff legs out. The adjustments are solid when you move to different positions.
Its a great rack. In my profile I have a sideview pic of the luggage rack and the risers on the Wing.

The first problem with these during the install was that the pigtalls they gave me were not working properly and one of the wires on the lights was not connected. They sent me off new pigtails, (a week later before I got them) and I soldered the light back on. When I got the pigtails one would not even fit. I Visually looked at the connector and the pins were not aligned properly. So now I have one that fits and another one that does not fit. When I tried the one that fit, the lights still did not work. I believe additional problems arose when taking things apart to trouble shoot them. The original connectors fit so tight, that they when you tried to disconnect them the pins in the back came out before you could get them appart. The new ones they sent me did not have this problem. I asked the shop that services my bike if they ever have problems with Kurakyn parts. They mentioned the West Coast rep for Kuryakyn services his bike with them then said: "We never have had any problems with them, and when we do have problems, they replace any part that needs replacing." I guess they they go through the boxes of these they have until they get a set that works and then they give the bad parts back to Kuryakyn for replacement. Now when I talked to wing stuff they said send them back, if they are like new and they would replace them. Well I had already soldered the wires back on and it was definatly not new anymore. So I guess I'm going to eat this lesson. If you are lucky enoough to get a set that works, my feeling is that when you have to take them apart for what ever reason you will run into problems becuase of the connectors. If you like Harleys you may like these products. Kuryakyn wants you working on your bike instead of riding it. After two weeks of trying to make them work, I decided to go for a ride and use them without the like working. ya, I know look tacky, but if I wanted to just work and just look at my bike I would have bought a Harley. Obviously my recommendation is not to buy these, but if you do, good luck. |
