I like baker built airwings. They are functional and do a fair job of directing wind away or towards you as the temperature calls for. These are not quite as effective at the baker wings on my 1500 but based on how they are located on the bike they work ok. It certainly is better with them than without them. The lower wing does its job to keep the hot air from the radiator off your leg. I haven't ridden in the winter yet so I cant say if they give you any additional heat when its cold out. Note: These wings don't suffer from the turning problems that the hand wings have. I've only had to adjust the right side wing once since I installed them. I highly recommend that you use a drill press to drill the 4 holes you will need in your fairing trim strips. It will give you an accurate and workable installation. The only gripe I have is that the edge of the fairing pocket doors rub on the top edge of the chrome frame of the wing ( right where the upper green arrow is on the picture for this product review) It seems to me that this could have been avoided with a little careful engineering to the product when Honda changed the attachment method of the fairing pocket doors in 2006.

Installed easy per instructions. Stock bolts seem so long, takes forever to get out. Works great, reverse is easy to put on stand. Also so much easier to do by hand. Then just ride off. |
Awesome addition for my mp3, amazingly easy to install. Engine noise is unnoticeable.
Love em, cant imagine riding without them. The inside of the hex bolts are starting to rust, other than that I think they are great.
The coating on the windshield is great. Cleans easily and no scratches. It does have a rainbow appearance on the front when viewed from the front, however it looks fine when looking thorugh it. THe vent fit and works great with no noise. The velcro padding strip supplied for the back of the dash began sliding up the first day. Had to replace with camper tape after much work removing the adhesive from the supplied pad. I would recommend not using this pad.
I have a 2002 Goldwing and have had the Dunlops and Bridgestones that gave up at 4-5000 miles due to cupping and the inherent noise then. I have had the Metzelers ME880 for 6500 miles and are still like new in performance, noise and tread. These are a great tire. I have 40 years of racing and riding experience with 15 years on Goldwings. PS I have never the "Goldwing Wobble".
It was easy to install but I went to Uhale a got a converter form 5 to 4 wire and that made every thing work out good.
Very nice CWOLAW sure helped and lots of thanks to him. I allso ran the wireing at the same time.
Finally got to use this bag, on trip to Americade. Great bag and holds alot and mounts in just minutes. Stays in place with velcro straps with no worry of it ever coming off even at speeds on highway of 75 and 80 mph. great value for the money. ride safe and enjoy.
Quality Bag. Well made. Just got back from a 3,500 trip with it strapped on the back of my bike without any problems.
Don't like it's mounting system. Still haven't figured out how they wanted you to use a velcro strap that holds down the upper end, that came with it. (It didn't come with suggested mounting instructions) I ended up sticking some velco just below the key and inside the gas fill well in lieu of the strap. Worked fine on a just completed 3,500 trip.
Fairly easy to install. Did get a bit anxious about the drilling because of the quality of the template that came with the instructions. It turned out to be accurate. Wired it through a Flash Back unit, which those I ride with say it is a real attention getter.
